Top One Futures rules & hidden risks
The fine print that costs traders accounts
Hidden Risk score
3.8/10
Moderate risk
Average: 4.6
Most rules are written down in detail, so the danger is less hidden fine print than layers that only bite at payout time. 48.4% of the analysed 1-2 star reviews dispute a rule and 32.7% report denied payouts or removed profits, often over 10-second trades, scaling tiers or the news window; payout interviews are not documented at all; and the forced move to a live account after three payouts closes every other account. A terms clause against criticising the firm adds discretion on top.
Hidden rules to know before you buy
- highaccount
Forced move to a live account after 3 payouts
After three payouts (five on Elite Daily) a risk manager can move you to live, and you cannot decline. Every other sim account is closed, the live account starts at a $0 balance with a $1,000-$4,000 drawdown, the split drops to 80% and you pay about $140 a month per exchange for professional data.

Undocumented payout interviews
Several 2026 reviews and Reddit threads describe payouts held until the trader records a strategy video and then joins a live video interview, with refusal leading to denial; we found no help-center article that discloses this step.

Correlated trades count as copy trading
Copying is allowed only between accounts of the same program and size. Taking the same direction on correlated contracts (ES and NQ, GC and SI, ES and MES) in two different account types while the first position is open is treated as copy trading and can close every linked account.

No-criticism clause in the terms
Section 9 of the June 2026 terms bans disparaging, false or misleading statements about the firm on review sites, social media or forums, with termination and forfeiture of profits as the penalty. It also chills negative reviews, which skews the public record.

Small per-request payout caps and buffers
Sim payouts are capped per request: $750-$2,250 on Elite Daily, $1,000-$2,500 on Elite ACCESS, $500-$2,000 on Ignite. Elite Daily and Elite ACCESS also require a $1,500-$4,500 buffer that is never withdrawable and is lost if the account breaches.

Consistency rules on most funded accounts
Payouts are blocked until the best day is at most 40% (Elite ACCESS), 20% (Instant) or 15% (Ignite) of profit in the cycle, plus a 50% new-profit rule on Elite Daily, Elite ACCESS and X-Ultra. Only Elite Daily funded and X-Ultra funded have no best-day cap.
Source - mediumstrategy
10-second minimum hold with profit removal
Closing any part of a trade within 10 seconds is a violation. Occasional cases are tolerated, but if roughly half of trades or profits break the rule, all profit from those trades is removed, a threshold applied at the risk team's judgment.
Source - mediumnews
Two-minute news window on Elite funded accounts
Elite Daily and Elite ACCESS funded accounts may not open, close or modify orders from 2 minutes before to 2 minutes after high-impact news, and a stop or target that fills inside the window also counts. Profits from the trade can be removed and the payout denied.
Source - mediumlot-size
Contract scaling on funded accounts
Funded Elite Daily, Elite ACCESS and X-Ultra accounts start below the full contract limit and get more only as end-of-day profit grows; X-Ultra limits also scale back down after a payout. Trading above the current tier can void profits and payouts.
Source - mediumdiscretion
Vague 'gambling' and termination clauses
The terms prohibit over-risking and position sizes that are large 'relative to account norms' without a number, ban breaching batches of new accounts quickly, and let either party end the agreement at any time for any reason.
Source - mediumkyc
IP, VPN, household and travel rules
VPNs are banned, a VPS must be registered, several accounts from similar IPs are flagged, household account limits are shared by everyone at an address, and trading while physically in one of about 75 restricted countries is a hard breach.
Source - lowaccount
14-day inactivity breach
An account with no completed trade for 14 calendar days, weekends included, is permanently breached and its profits are lost.
Source - lowdrawdown
X-Ultra daily loss is a hard breach
On the Launchpad X-Ultra account, touching the $1,000-$2,000 daily loss limit fails the account outright, unlike the day-pause used on every other plan.

The rulebook
Drawdown4 rules
- All plans use a trailing drawdown that locks at the starting balance + $100; it is measured end of day except on the Elite ACCESS Intraday funded account, which trails peak equity tick by tick.
- Elite ACCESS and Elite Daily check the max loss at the close, while the help article for the older Elite accounts says even a brief intraday dip below the level breaches; the daily loss limit always counts open losses and fees.
- Daily loss limits ($500-$3,000) pause trading for the day on every plan except X-Ultra, where they fail the account.
- The drawdown also locks at starting balance + $100 at the first payout, which can leave little room after a withdrawal.
Prohibited strategies5 rules
- No EAs, bots, scripts or high-frequency tools; manual or semi-manual entry only.
- Every trade must stay open more than 10 seconds; partial exits inside 10 seconds also count.
- No hedging between accounts, arbitrage with other firms, latency or price-error exploits, or purchased 'pass the evaluation' systems.
- No signal following, group trading or copying another person's trades; own-account copying only within the same program and size.
- No rolling or churning: buying batches of accounts and breaching most of them within a day or two can lead to a ban.
News & timing3 rules
- Trading runs 6:00 PM to 4:10 PM ET Sunday to Friday; positions are force-closed at 4:10 PM ET daily and before the weekend.
- News trading is allowed except on Elite Daily and Elite ACCESS funded accounts, which block the 2 minutes either side of high-impact releases.
- A trading day for consistency and profitable-day counts ends at 5:00 PM ET.
Consistency & payouts4 rules
- Elite Daily: 40% best-day cap in the evaluation only; Elite ACCESS: 40% funded; Instant: 20%; Ignite: 15%; X-Ultra: 50% in the evaluation only.
- Elite Daily, Elite ACCESS and X-Ultra: from the second payout, half of each request must be new profit since the last payout.
- Per-request caps from $500 (Ignite $25K) to $9,000 (X-Ultra $150K); payouts only via a verified Rise account (bank or crypto).
- Live accounts: 80% split, no caps or consistency, $200 minimum, but they start at a $0 balance.
Gambling & risk3 rules
- Contract caps of 1 / 3 / 5 / 7 minis by size; funded Elite and X-Ultra accounts scale up from a lower start.
- Separate, lower limits for Micro Bitcoin futures.
- The terms ban over-risking and outsized positions relative to account norms without defining a threshold.
Account & KYC4 rules
- One profile per person; KYC and a signed contract before trading a funded account; name must match government ID.
- Household caps: 5 Elite Daily, 10 Elite ACCESS (20 in promotions), 3-5 Instant, 10 Ignite, 3 X-Ultra; a live account anywhere in the household bars all sim accounts.
- 14 days without a trade is a permanent breach; VPNs prohibited; travel to restricted countries must be cleared with support.
- Payment cards must belong to the account holder; mismatches can delay or void payouts. No refunds; a chargeback is a permanent ban.
