FunderPro sells one of the better-priced challenge menus in CFD prop trading: a $100k Classic two-step costs $539, drawdown is static and balance-based, there is no time limit, and the fee comes back with the first reward. It also publishes a hard number most firms hide, a 7.35% pass rate since launch. The problem starts after the pass. Trustpilot has withdrawn FunderPro's rating for a guideline breach, 74% of its 200 newest reviews are one or two stars, and the most common story is a payout refused after a compliance review, usually over shared IP addresses or devices.
Good challenge terms, but too many payouts end in a compliance dispute
Our verdict
On paper FunderPro is a solid deal. The Classic two-step costs $539 for $100k, refunds the fee with the first reward, uses a static balance-based 10% drawdown and has no consistency rule or time limit. Platform choice is wide, spreads can be checked on public read-only accounts, and the firm publishes its 7.35% pass rate, which is more honesty than most competitors offer.
The evidence after the pass is what keeps the rating low. Since February 2026 the most common Trustpilot story is a funded trader whose reward was refused after a compliance review, usually over IP or device overlap, the funded-only 20% margin cap or lot-size consistency. The firm says these decisions follow its terms and are not about profit, but it rarely shows traders the evidence, and its own behaviour policy is used to close appeals. Trustpilot has since withdrawn the rating and flagged fake reviews, and a June 2026 burst of short five-star reviews did not help.
New leadership backed by fresh investment arrived in June 2026 and may change course, but nothing in the reviews through early October shows it yet. If you buy, choose Classic, trade only from your own fixed connection and device, keep margin per asset class under 20% from day one of the challenge, and take small, early payouts before letting profits build.
Best for
Disciplined traders who want a cheap, refundable two-step with static drawdown and are willing to follow the funded-account margin and access rules to the letter.
Avoid if
You trade from mobile networks or shared connections, size up aggressively on strong days, or need confidence that a large first payout will be approved.
Pros
- Firm-published pass rate of 7.35% since launch, a disclosure few competitors make.
- $100k Classic two-step at $539 with the fee refunded on the first reward.
- Static, balance-based drawdown of 10% (6% on One Phase) and no time limit on any challenge.
- Classic challenge has no consistency rule and only 4 minimum days per phase.
- Three platforms (MT5, cTrader, TradeLocker) with public read-only accounts for checking live spreads.
- Pro accounts can request rewards on demand once 1% up, or weekly at a 90% split.
- Approved payouts are paid within a business day in USDC or via Rise, 8-hour average per the firm.
Cons
- Trustpilot has withdrawn the rating over fake reviews; 74% of the 200 newest reviews are one or two stars.
- 63.6% of recent negative reviews describe a refused payout, most citing IP or device sharing.
- 20% margin cap per asset class applies only on funded accounts, after you have passed without it.
- Lot-size consistency and gambling clauses are judged case by case with no numeric limit.
- Pro daily rewards pay only 60% and Pro fees are never refunded.
- News and weekend holding on funded accounts require the paid Swing add-on.
- Leadership turned over in 2026: new CEO in June after the co-founder CEO, the deputy CEO and another senior executive left.

Fit by trading style
Beginners
OK with caveatsClassic has no consistency rule, static 10% drawdown and a refundable fee, but only 7.35% of buyers pass and funded rules tighten after the pass.
Experienced traders
Poor fitSuccessful traders are the ones reporting payout refusals, and the $200k allocation cap limits scale.
Swing traders
OK with caveatsUnlimited time and a Swing add-on for weekends and news, though the add-on cuts FX leverage to 1:30 and the 20% margin cap still applies.
Scalpers
OK with caveatsNo minimum hold time and 1:100 FX leverage, but $5-7 per lot on funded accounts and arbitrage or execution-pattern reviews add risk.
EA & algo traders
OK with caveatsEAs are allowed if you own the code; bought or shared bots, HFT and copy setups across people are banned.
News traders
OK with caveatsNews is free during challenges; funded accounts need the paid Swing add-on to trade inside the 2-minute window.
About FunderPro
Founded 2022 · San Gwann, Malta
FunderPro Ltd is registered in Malta (company C 104558), with a second entity, FunderPro Saint Lucia Ltd, added in 2025 to provide the simulated trading service. The firm was set up in 2022 and launched its funded account challenge in March 2023, marketed at the time with real-capital funding and scaling to $5 million. Today every account is described as simulated. FunderPro grew inside the same group as TradeLocker; Finance Magnates described it in 2024 as a division of Red Acre, the TradeLocker owner, and investor-operator Owen Morton lists FunderPro alongside TradeLocker and Deus X Pay.
Co-founder Gary Mullen ran the firm until 2026. In June 2026 Tim Plummer, a former IG and Capital.com executive who also runs Deus X Markets, became CEO of FunderPro, FunderPro Futures and the new offshore CFD broker NextTrade, and said the group had secured strategic investment. Deputy CEO Petros Kalaitzis left for IC Markets' prop arm earlier in 2026 and senior executive Andreas Pilavakis moved to GOAT Funded Futures in March.
FunderPro sells One Phase, Classic and Pro challenges from $5k to $200k plus an Instant program up to $100k, on MT5, cTrader and TradeLocker. It claims more than $22 million paid to traders and $15 million to affiliates, and states that 7.35% of challenge buyers have reached a funded account since launch. A separate futures brand runs at funderprofutures.com.
Trader tip
Treat the funded account as a different rulebook: the 20% margin cap per asset class does not exist in the challenge, so size every challenge trade as if it did. Trade from one device on a fixed home connection, never share a network with another FunderPro trader, and pick Classic to avoid both the consistency rule and the non-refundable Pro fee.

FunderPro FAQ
Questions traders ask
Is FunderPro legit?
FunderPro is a real Malta-registered company that has sold challenges since 2023 and claims more than $22M paid to traders. Though, Trustpilot has withdrawn its rating over fake reviews and most recent reviews report refused payouts, so treat it as a higher-risk choice.
Does FunderPro actually pay out?
Yes. According to the firm, approved rewards are paid in USDC or via Rise, usually within a business day. The risk is approval itself: 63.6% of recent negative Trustpilot reviews describe a payout refused after a compliance review, most often over shared IP or device access.
How long do FunderPro payouts take?
FunderPro says approved rewards are paid within one business day, averaging 8 hours. Classic, One Phase and Instant accounts can request every 14 days, while Pro accounts can request daily at a 60% split or weekly at 90%.
What is the FunderPro pass rate?
FunderPro publishes it: 7.35% of traders who buy a challenge reach the funded phase, counted from launch to the present. That figure blends all challenge types and says nothing about how many funded traders get paid.
What are FunderPro's hidden rules?
The ones that catch traders are on funded accounts: a 20% margin cap per asset class, a ban on shared devices, VPS or IP addresses, and a discretionary lot-size consistency clause. None of the three is checked during the challenge itself.
Can you trade news with FunderPro?
During challenges, yes, without limits. On funded accounts you cannot open trades from 2 minutes before to 2 minutes after restricted news unless you bought the Swing add-on, which also lowers FX leverage to 1:30.
Are EAs allowed at FunderPro?
Yes, if you own the EA or its source code. Rented or shared bots, tick-scalping and HFT systems, and anything that exploits latency or feed gaps are banned.
Does FunderPro accept US traders?
The US is not on FunderPro's restricted list for challenges, but the Instant program and MT5 are not offered to US residents. The firm blocks 19 sanctioned or high-risk countries plus occupied regions of Ukraine, including Russia, Iran and North Korea.
Is there a FunderPro discount code?
FunderPro runs rotating promo codes through its site pop-up and newsletters, usually 20% to 30% off challenges. Codes expire when the campaign ends and cannot be reactivated, so check the homepage for the current one before buying.
Who owns FunderPro?
FunderPro Ltd is registered in Malta and sits in the same group as TradeLocker and Deus X Markets; investor-operator Owen Morton lists it among his businesses. Tim Plummer has been CEO since June 2026, replacing co-founder Gary Mullen.
What happens if I breach a FunderPro account?
A drawdown breach fails the account immediately and the fee is not refunded. On funded accounts, a first breach of the 20% margin rule removes those trades' profits and a second closes the account; FunderPro offers discounted resets and retries for failed challenges.
FunderPro 1-step vs 2-step: which is easier?
Classic two-step is the easier route for most: 10% then 5% targets, 5% daily and 10% max loss, no consistency rule. One Phase needs 10% in one step with only 3% daily and 6% total loss plus a 40% consistency cap.
Why is FunderPro's Trustpilot rating hidden?
Trustpilot says the rating is unavailable due to a breach of its guidelines and that it removed fake reviews. FunderPro blames coordinated attacks and third-party spam; our average of the remaining star split is 3.4, and Trustpilot's withheld score is 2.8.
