BrightFunded review
Dubai-based CFD prop firm with 1-Step and 2-Step evaluations, launched in 2023
Our grade
Average
6.1 / 10 · ranked #3 of 10
BrightFunded sells some of the cleanest-looking rules in CFD prop trading: no consistency rule, no time limits, payouts processed within a day and a scaling plan that ends at a 100% split. The catch sits outside the plan pages. Its terms let the Risk team cut leverage to 1:5, shrink the daily loss limit or end the cooperation at its discretion, and a steady stream of traders say that is exactly what happened right after they got paid. Add a Trustpilot profile whose rating has been switched off for a guidelines breach, and you have a firm that pays reliably but keeps the final say.
Fast, reliable payouts and clean rules on paper, undercut by a Risk team with wide discretion
Our verdict
BrightFunded gets the visible things right. Three platforms, no consistency rule, no time limits, a 2-Step Classic with standard 10%/5% targets and 10% static drawdown for about $564 on $100K, a scaling plan that ends at a 100% split, and payouts that usually land the same day. PropFirmMatch's tracker and most recent positive reviews back up the speed claim.
The trouble is the part you cannot see in the pricing table. The terms let the Risk team decide what counts as overexposure or a one-sided bet, cut leverage to 1:5, lower the daily loss limit or end the relationship, and traders keep reporting exactly that after a profitable payout, often after a recorded risk interview and without trade-level evidence. The firm usually pays what was approved, so this is less a payout risk than a risk to the account itself. Trustpilot switching off the rating for a guidelines breach, plus reviewers saying they were offered reinstatement for deleting reviews, makes the no-hidden-rules marketing hard to take at face value.
BrightFunded is a reasonable pick for disciplined, moderate-risk traders who size consistently, keep one account per strategy and treat each payout as money banked rather than a guaranteed income stream. Traders who press size when winning, scalp gold or crypto, run third-party EAs or trade news on funded accounts should look elsewhere.
Best for
Disciplined swing and intraday traders with consistent position sizing who value fast payouts and no consistency rule.
Avoid if
You scale up size after wins, trade high-impact news on funded accounts, scalp gold or crypto, or need confidence that a profitable funded account will not be restricted.
Pros
- No consistency rule, no profit cap and no time limit on any phase.
- Payouts processed within one day; PropFirmMatch tracks a same-day median across 8,953 payouts ($16.48M) since May 2024 with zero reported delays.
- Uncapped scaling: +30% of the original balance every four months, with a 100% split from the third scale-up.
- Choice of MT5, cTrader and DXtrade, plus more than 30 crypto pairs that trade 24/7, weekends included.
- 15% of evaluation-phase profits is credited to the next funded account after 10% funded growth (paid accounts).
- Low costs on majors: $3 per lot on FX and zero commission on indices.
- A free $1,000 one-step challenge (no card needed) lets you test the conditions before paying.
Cons
- Trustpilot has suppressed the rating for a guidelines breach and says it removed fake reviews.
- T&C 5.8 lets the Risk team cut leverage to 1:5 or shrink the daily loss limit after the fact; traders report 1% daily caps imposed after payouts.
- Recurring reports of funded accounts terminated right after a payout under vague excessive-risk or group-trading clauses, with evidence withheld.
- First payout only 30 days after the first funded trade unless you buy a payout add-on; the base split is 80%.
- The 1-Step's 6% trailing drawdown follows floating equity in real time, so a reversing open winner can breach the account.
- Funded accounts forfeit profits on trades executed within five minutes of high-impact news.
- Prices are set in EUR (EUR 477-497 for $100K), bank payouts come in EUR, and the fee is refunded only with a paid add-on.

How we graded it
Weighted score 6.1/10 → grade C
Methodology →- Payouts 25%6.8
Approved payouts are processed within a day and PropFirmMatch tracks $16.48M across 8,953 payouts with zero reported delays, but profit removals for alleged hedging and post-payout terminations recur in complaints.
- Rules & transparency 20%5.3
Plan rules are clearly documented with no consistency rule, but broad discretionary clauses (T&C 5.4g, 5.7, 5.8) let the Risk team restrict or close funded accounts after the fact.
- Reputation 20%5.0
Three years old with named founders and disclosed entities, but Trustpilot suppressed its rating for a guidelines breach and reviewers allege review-for-reinstatement deals.
- Trading conditions 15%7.0
About $542-$564 for $100K with standard targets, static drawdown on both 2-step plans and no time limit, offset by an 80% base split, a 30-day first payout and a fee refund only via add-on.
- Support 10%6.2
24/7 chat, WhatsApp and a detailed help center with worked examples, offset by frequent complaints about slow KYC handling, unanswered emails and refused evidence requests.
- Platforms & execution 10%6.5
MT5, cTrader and DXtrade are all offered, but slippage and spread complaints on gold and crypto are common and MT5 is not available to US or UAE residents.
Who is BrightFunded for?
Fit by trading style
Beginners
OK with caveatsThe free $1K challenge and the 2-Step Classic's standard limits with no time limit are forgiving, but the equity-based daily floor and KYC hurdles catch out newcomers.
Experienced traders
OK with caveatsUp to $400K, uncapped scaling to a 100% split and no consistency rule appeal, but consistently profitable traders report post-payout restrictions and terminations.
Swing traders
OK with caveatsOvernight and weekend holds are allowed and trades held 48 hours escape the news rule, but swaps apply without the add-on and one gold swing trader was terminated for excessive risk after six months of payouts.
Scalpers
Poor fitTick scalping is banned, the firm asks traders to avoid many trades in short periods, and slippage and spread complaints on gold and crypto are frequent.
EA & algo traders
OK with caveatsEAs run on MT5 and cTrader but not DXtrade, HFT and AI tools are banned, and popular third-party EAs can be flagged for matching other users' trades.
News traders
Poor fitNews is free during evaluation, but funded accounts lose the profit on any execution within five minutes of high-impact news on the affected instrument.

Trustpilot TrustScore
572 reviews
Trustpilot hides this firm's TrustScore after a breach of its guidelines. The stars show our average of the visible breakdown (4.1), not an official score.
- · No TrustScore is displayed: Trustpilot shows the rating as unavailable due to a breach of its guidelines and says it removed a number of fake reviews. The 4.1 here is our simple average of the displayed star split (4.05), not a Trustpilot score.
- · The flag appeared between March 10, 2026 (archived profile: 4.3 from 527 reviews) and May 4, 2026 (FXEmpire already reports no rating); in June 2025 the profile showed 4.6 from 416 reviews.
- · 211 of the 572 reviews were posted in the last 12 months; verified (invited) reviews fell from about 80% of monthly volume in Nov 2025-Mar 2026 to one or two a month from May 2026.
- · BrightFunded replies to most recent negative reviews, at times publicly accusing reviewers of coordinated group abuse; several reviewers say they were offered reinstatement or a new account for deleting reviews.
- · Listed under the category Educational Institution, with a Dubai (IFZA Business Park) address.

Red flags in the reviews
- · Trustpilot has suppressed the rating for a guidelines breach and says it removed fake reviews (flag visible since spring 2026).
- · 43% of five-star reviews in the last 12 months are under 80 characters, and verified invited reviews nearly stopped after April 2026.
- · Several reviewers say they were offered reinstatement or a new account in exchange for deleting negative reviews (2025-2026).
- · Recurring reports of funded accounts terminated immediately after a payout, with the firm declining to share evidence.
- · Company replies have publicly described reviewers as part of coordinated national trading groups.
- · A September 2026 company reply claimed more than $60M paid out, while the website states $16.5M+.
Our read of the reviews
We analyzed 200 Trustpilot reviews posted between October 28, 2025 and October 1, 2026, nearly all of the 211 the profile shows for the last 12 months, plus 117 one- and two-star reviews dating back to November 2023. The sample splits 58% positive, 3% mixed and 39% negative, but the timeline matters more than the average: from November 2025 to March 2026 only 5-24% of each month's reviews were negative and about 80% were verified invitations, while from April 2026 onward 50-100% were negative and verified reviews almost vanished. That shift lines up with Trustpilot suppressing the rating for a guidelines breach and removing fake reviews, and 43% of five-star reviews are under 80 characters, so part of the earlier glow looks solicited.
The dominant complaint, in about 31% of negative reviews, is a funded account terminated or banned by the Risk team, often right after a payout or a recorded interview, for excessive risk, overexposure or coordinated group hedging, with traders saying evidence was refused. Next come slippage and spreads on gold and crypto (21%), poor communication (19%, including claims that reinstatement was offered for deleting reviews), profits removed for hedging or copy trading (15%) and KYC rejections or contract delays, mostly from free $1K accounts in August and September 2026 (12%).
The praise is real but narrow: fast payouts lead (about 29% of positive reviews, often same day), followed by responsive named support agents and the absence of a consistency rule. Tellingly, many angry reviewers concede they were paid; the dispute is about losing the account afterward, not about missing money.

BrightFunded pass rate
How hard is it to pass?
Challenge pass rate
8%
~8% (our estimate)
Bar = this firm · line = average of the 10 firms we grade (10.1%)
BrightFunded publishes no pass rate. We start from the roughly 10% challenge pass rates that FTMO-style firms have disclosed for 10%/5% two-step programs with 10% static drawdown (which the 2-Step Classic matches) and shade down for the tighter 8% drawdown on the 2-Step Bright and the 6% trailing 1-Step. The firm's own figures (27,500+ traders funded by September 2025, 210,000+ accounts by September 2026) omit the attempts behind them, and simulator pass rates on comparison sites have no stated data source.

BrightFunded hidden rules
The fine print
Hidden Risk score
5.6/10
Very high risk
Average: 6.3
BrightFunded's plan rules are simple, but its terms give the Risk team wide room to decide what counts as excessive risk and to restrict or close funded accounts, and traders report it using that room right after payouts. Cross-account hedging and group-trading detection, a funded news window, a trailing 1-Step and EUR-denominated costs add further traps.
- highdiscretion
Discretionary forbidden-practice clauses
T&C 5.4(g) and 5.7 ban trading that could harm the firm, overexposure, one-sided bets and unusually sized positions, and the firm decides what qualifies. Recent complaints describe funded accounts ended under these articles right after a payout, with trade-level evidence refused.
Source - highdrawdown
Retroactive 1:5 leverage and reduced daily loss
Clause 5.8 and the help center's 'temporary risk measures' let the Risk team cut leverage to 1:5 and lower the daily loss limit on any or all of your accounts; several traders report a 1% daily cap imposed after a payout, in some cases for months.
Source - highstrategy
Cross-account hedging and group-trading detection
Opposite positions on the same instrument across your accounts, platforms or other prop firms are banned; only a first single-trade case gets a warning. The firm also flags coordinated trading between different users, and traders accused of matching or offsetting other users' trades have lost accounts or profits.

About BrightFunded
Founded 2023 · Dubai, United Arab Emirates
BrightFunded was started in 2023 by Dutch brothers Jelle Dijkstra (CEO) and Syb Dijkstra (COO) and opened to traders in September 2023. It began with an Amsterdam office, moved its headquarters to Dubai in January 2025 and now lists hubs in Dubai, Amsterdam and Warsaw with more than 40 staff. Lex Hoogduin (formerly of the ECB) and Willem Sprenkeler (formerly of Optiver) are named as board advisors.
The terms name Bright Global FZCO in Dubai Digital Park as the service provider, while the site footer says CFD evaluations are offered by BrightFunded Ltd, a Saint Lucia company (registration no. 2025-00358), with a Wyoming company, BrightFunded LLC, named as the contracting party for futures and a Cyprus affiliate, Bright Transact Ltd. No futures program is sold as of October 2026. BrightFunded is not a broker: accounts are simulated, priced off third-party data feeds, and the firm says it may copy funded traders' positions to its own live accounts.
The firm says it has paid more than $16.5 million in rewards to traders in 155-plus countries, and PropFirmMatch's payout tracker shows $16.48 million across 8,953 payouts since May 2024, up from the $5.5 million the firm cited in April 2025. Growth has leaned on heavy discounting, the Trade2Earn token program, a 15% evaluation-profit bonus added in January 2026, a rebuilt product line in April 2026, a free $1,000 challenge in June 2026 and a payments partnership with Revolut announced the same month.
Trader tip
Pick the 2-Step Classic if you want the most room (5% daily, 10% static) and skip the 1-Step if you let winners run, because its 6% trailing limit follows open profit in real time. On a funded account keep position sizes consistent, never hold opposite positions across accounts or firms, and stay flat five minutes either side of high-impact news, since those are the triggers the Risk team cites. Save your trade history before each payout request in case you need to dispute a decision.

BrightFunded FAQ
Questions traders ask
Is BrightFunded legit?
Yes, it is a real, paying firm: Dubai-based Bright Global FZCO runs the service, the founders are named, and PropFirmMatch tracks $16.48 million across 8,953 payouts since May 2024. The caveats are a Trustpilot rating suppressed for a guidelines breach and a steady flow of complaints about funded accounts closed after payouts.
Does BrightFunded actually pay out?
Yes. Approved payouts are generally processed within a day, and the firm says it pays approved amounts in full even when it later closes an account, which most complainants confirm. Disputes arise when the Risk team removes profits for alleged cross-account hedging or copy trading, or ends the account after paying.
How long do BrightFunded payouts take?
The help center promises processing within one day of a request, and PropFirmMatch's tracker shows a median of about 16 hours over the past year. Bank transfers are paid in euros and can take extra time to reach you depending on your bank. The first payout is only available 30 days after your first funded trade unless you bought a payout add-on.
What is the BrightFunded pass rate?
BrightFunded has not published one. Comparing its targets and drawdowns with FTMO-style two-step programs, where firms have disclosed roughly 10% pass rates, we estimate about 8% overall and less on the trailing 1-Step. The firm says 27,500+ traders were funded by September 2025 but not how many attempts that took.
What are BrightFunded's hidden rules?
The rules that catch traders sit in the terms: clauses against overexposure, one-sided bets and unusually large positions that the Risk team interprets, plus its power to cut leverage to 1:5 and lower the daily loss limit. Others are per-symbol lot caps listed only in a linked spreadsheet, the five-minute news window on funded accounts and a 30-day inactivity rule.
Can you trade news with BrightFunded?
During Phase 1 and Phase 2, yes, without restriction. On funded accounts any execution on an affected instrument from five minutes before to five minutes after a high-impact release, including stop-loss and take-profit fills, loses its profit while losses stand. Trades opened at least 48 hours earlier are exempt.
Are EAs allowed at BrightFunded?
Yes on MT5 and cTrader, but DXtrade does not support automated trading. High-frequency, tick-scalping, grid and arbitrage strategies are banned, and the firm warns that popular third-party EAs can produce the same trades as other users, which its similarity checks may flag.
Does BrightFunded accept US traders?
US residents are not on the restricted list and can trade on cTrader or DXtrade, but the MT5 service is not offered to US or UAE residents or citizens. People living in or holding nationality of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Vietnam or Pakistan cannot sign up.
Is there a BrightFunded discount code?
As of October 1, 2026 the site runs an Autumn promo: RALLY30 for 30% off the 1-Step, RALLY25 for 25% off the 2-Step Bright and RALLY15 for 15% off the 2-Step Classic. The firm rotates codes often, so check the banner on brightfunded.com before buying.
Who owns BrightFunded?
BrightFunded was founded by brothers Jelle Dijkstra (CEO) and Syb Dijkstra (COO). The service provider in its terms is Bright Global FZCO in Dubai, CFD evaluations are contracted through BrightFunded Ltd in Saint Lucia, and a Wyoming LLC and a Cyprus company are listed as affiliates.
What happens if I breach a BrightFunded account?
Hitting the daily or maximum loss ends that account and the fee is not refunded; on a funded account any unpaid profit is forfeited. A first single-trade cross-account hedge only triggers a soft breach that closes the trades, but any repeat is a hard breach. You can buy a new challenge unless you have been banned.
BrightFunded 1-step vs 2-step: which is easier?
The 2-Step Classic is the more forgiving option despite two phases: 5% daily and 10% static drawdown versus 3% daily and a 6% trailing limit on the 1-Step. The 1-Step's floor rises with open profit in real time, so it suits traders who bank gains quickly. The 2-Step Bright sits between them with an 8% target and 8% static drawdown.
How does the BrightFunded daily loss limit work?
For accounts bought after September 22, 2025 the daily limit is a fixed share of the starting balance (3%, 4% or 5% by plan) measured from the higher of balance or equity at the 23:30-23:59 CET rollover. An open trade in profit at rollover therefore raises the next day's breach level.
Does BrightFunded refund the challenge fee?
Only if you bought the fee-refund add-on, in which case the fee is returned with your first payout. Otherwise a refund is possible only if you ask within 30 days of purchase and have not placed a trade on the account.
