About 30% off list plus the no-daily-loss-limit add-on free and $5-$10 extra off (Oct 2026)
Standing code with no end date, shown under Lucid's pricing grid. The code stays the same but the discount behind it changes with each campaign (the current 30% is labelled limited time).
Lucid Trading went from launch in early 2025 to one of the most-used futures prop firms in about 18 months, on the back of cheap one-time-fee evaluations ($136-$172 for a 50K), end-of-day drawdown, a 90/10 split and payouts that usually land the same day. The payout machine is real: PropFirmMatch's tracker shows about $753M across 461,000 payouts. The problem is what happens at the edges. Since August 2026 Trustpilot has filled with traders banned at payout for "cross-user" trading, alleged chargebacks or failed re-verification, Lucid replies to none of them, and the rules are rewritten every few months.
Cheap, fast-paying futures evals, with a ban problem at payout that Lucid has not addressed
Our verdict
On paper Lucid Trading is one of the best-value futures prop firms of 2026. A 50K evaluation lists at $136-$172 with an end-of-day drawdown, there is no activation fee, the split is 90/10, and payouts usually land within hours. LucidFlex and LucidDaily remove the consistency rule once funded, which few rivals do at this price. PropFirmMatch's tracker shows about $753M paid across 461,000 payouts, so this is not a firm that fails to pay as a rule.
The trouble starts when a payout is due. Since mid-August 2026 Trustpilot, Reddit and PropFirmMatch have recorded a steady stream of traders whose accounts were paused for a second KYC check and then closed for cross-user coordinated trading, correlated hedging or a chargeback they deny, with pending payouts of $1,000 to $13,000 lost. The terms give Lucid sole discretion here, it shows no evidence, and it has not replied publicly to any of the 250 newest negative reviews. Add rule rewrites every few months, capped payouts and a live account that starts at $0, and the hidden risk is very high.
Our view: Lucid works for a US-based trader who trades one or a few accounts alone, on their own card and network, with no copier links to anyone else, and who withdraws early and often. Anyone running many accounts, sharing a household or network with another trader, or relying on a large payout should treat each pending payout as at risk until it lands.
Best for
Solo intraday futures traders on a budget who want cheap EOD-drawdown evaluations and fast, frequent small payouts.
Avoid if
You share a household or network with another trader, use copiers across many accounts, hold overnight, or need a firm that explains its enforcement decisions.
Pros
- Low one-time fees: 50K evaluations list at $136 (Flex) to $172 (Pro), usually 30% less with the published code.
- End-of-day trailing drawdown that locks at start balance + $100 on Pro, Flex and Direct.
- 90/10 profit split from the first payout and no activation fee.
- Payouts typically approved within minutes to hours; Plaid transfers often the same day.
- LucidFlex and LucidDaily have no consistency rule once funded; LucidDaily allows daily withdrawals.
- Wide platform choice on CQG and Rithmic: NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView, Quantower, Sierra Chart, ATAS and more.
- Bots and trade copiers are allowed on your own accounts.
Cons
- Since August 2026, 72.8% of 1-2 star reviews describe accounts banned, often at the first payout, for cross-user trading or chargebacks.
- No public reply to any of the 250 newest negative Trustpilot reviews; support calls bans final without showing evidence.
- Payout caps of $1,000-$3,500 per request and only 5 payouts per account before a discretionary live review.
- 40% (Pro) and 20% (Direct) consistency rules apply to every payout cycle.
- No overnight or weekend holding on any sim account; positions are closed at 4:45 PM ET.
- Moving to live closes all other sim accounts and the live account starts at a $0 balance.
- About 80 countries are excluded and KYC rejections are common for non-US documents.

Lucid Trading pass rate
How hard is it to pass?
Challenge pass rate
15%
~15% (our estimate)
Bar = this firm · line = average of the 34 firms we grade (14%)
Lucid publishes no pass rate. Its one-step evaluations ask 5-6% profit with a 3-4% end-of-day trailing max loss, no time limit and resets; published futures figures for similar models range from 8.9% (Earn2Trade, 2025) to 16.9% (Take Profit Trader, 2024) and 28% (TradeDay), so we estimate about 15% of attempts reach a funded account.

Who is Lucid Trading for?
Fit by trading style
Beginners
OK with caveatsCheap evaluations, EOD drawdown and clear dashboards help, but a 4% trailing max loss and the strict hedging rules punish mistakes.
Experienced traders
OK with caveatsFast payouts and up to 5 funded accounts suit them, but caps of $1,000-$3,500 per payout and discretionary bans limit the upside.
Swing traders
Poor fitEvery sim account is flattened at 4:45 PM ET, so overnight and weekend holds are impossible until live.
Scalpers
OK with caveatsScalping is allowed, but trades under 5 seconds that make up most of the profit get flagged.
EA & algo traders
OK with caveatsBots and copiers are allowed, yet copying across accounts has triggered hedging and cross-user flags in recent reviews.
News traders
OK with caveatsNews is allowed on Pro, Flex and Direct, but it is a hard breach on LucidDaily and big news days break Pro and Direct consistency.
About Lucid Trading
Founded 2025 · Dover, Delaware, United States
Lucid Trading is run by Lucid Trading Group LLC, a Delaware company that lists a Dover, Delaware address on its website and a Rockaway, New Jersey contact address on its app store listing. Founder and CEO AJ Campanella, a full-time futures day trader, launched the firm in early 2025; PropFirmMatch dates it to March 2025 and the Trustpilot profile was claimed in April 2025. It sells futures only, on CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX contracts, through simulated evaluation and funded accounts, with successful traders moved to a live brokerage account.
Growth has been fast. The homepage claims $700M+ earned by traders and 500K+ traders, its Discord lists about 193,000 members, and PropFirmMatch's payout tracker shows $753M across 461,311 payouts. Much of that came through affiliates and the standing VAULT discount code rather than paid ads.
The product has changed often. ProjectX support ended after the platform provider withdrew from third-party firms in late 2025, the profit split moved to a flat 90/10 and LucidPro's consistency rule went from 35% to 40% on Nov 28, 2025, LucidBlack was retired and the live structure rebuilt in February 2026, LucidDaily arrived in mid-2026 and the daily loss limit became a priced option in August 2026. Since August 2026 the firm has faced a growing wave of complaints about bans at payout.
Trader tip
Trade your Lucid accounts alone, on your own card, device and internet connection, and never run positions that could look opposite to anyone else's or across correlated products in different accounts. Withdraw at every eligible cycle instead of letting profit pile up, and complete KYC with documents that exactly match your profile name before you are close to a payout.

Lucid Trading FAQ
Questions traders ask
Is Lucid Trading legit?
Yes, it is a real US company (Lucid Trading Group LLC) that has processed hundreds of thousands of payouts since 2025. Since August 2026, though, many traders report permanent bans and lost payouts for alleged cross-user trading or chargebacks, so it is legit but carries real enforcement risk.
Does Lucid Trading actually pay out?
Yes. Over half of recent 4-5 star Trustpilot reviews describe a payout received, and PropFirmMatch's tracker shows about $753M across 461,000 payouts. The risk is not slow payment but accounts being closed before or at the payout.
How long do Lucid Trading payouts take?
Approval usually takes minutes to a few hours. Plaid transfers to US banks often arrive the same day, and international methods such as WorkMarket or crypto take up to 2 business days.
What is the Lucid Trading pass rate?
Lucid does not publish one. Based on its 5-6% targets, 3-4% trailing max loss and published figures from comparable futures firms, we estimate about 15% of evaluation attempts reach a funded account.
What are Lucid Trading's hidden rules?
The ones that catch traders are the ban on trading in concert with other users, the hedging ban across correlated products in different accounts, repeat KYC at payout and permanent bans for any chargeback. Payout caps, the 5-payout limit and the 30-day inactivity deletion are also easy to miss.
What is the Lucid Trading consistency rule?
LucidPro funded accounts need the biggest day to stay under 40% of the cycle's profit and LucidDirect under 20%, every payout cycle. LucidFlex and LucidDaily only apply a 50% rule in the evaluation and none once funded.
Can you trade news with Lucid Trading?
Yes on LucidPro, LucidFlex and LucidDirect. On LucidDaily you must be flat from 1 minute before to 1 minute after high-impact USD news, and a trade in that window is a hard breach.
Are bots and copy trading allowed at Lucid Trading?
Automated strategies and trade copiers between your own accounts are allowed, but high-frequency trading and microscalping are not. Copying with or mirroring another user's trades is treated as coordinated trading and can get you banned.
Can you hold trades overnight with Lucid Trading?
No. All evaluation and sim funded positions must be closed by 4:45 PM ET and are auto-flattened. Only LucidLive accounts may hold overnight.
Does Lucid Trading accept US traders?
Yes, Lucid is a US firm and US traders get instant Plaid bank payouts. It excludes about 80 countries, including Turkey, the Philippines, Nigeria, Pakistan, Vietnam and South Africa.
Is there a Lucid Trading discount code?
Yes. Lucid publishes the standing code VAULT under its pricing grid; the discount behind it changes with each campaign. Lucid's own sale price is usually already about 30% below list.
Who owns Lucid Trading?
Lucid Trading is operated by Lucid Trading Group LLC, a Delaware company. Its founder and CEO is AJ Campanella, a futures day trader who launched the firm in early 2025.
What happens if I breach a Lucid Trading account?
A breached evaluation can be reset for a fee within 30 days, after which it is deleted. Funded accounts cannot be reset, so a breach means buying a new evaluation; hitting the daily loss limit only pauses trading until the next session.
LucidFlex vs LucidPro: which is easier?
LucidPro is easier to pass, since it has no evaluation consistency rule and can be passed in one day, but it applies a 40% consistency rule to every payout. LucidFlex needs at least two days to pass yet has no consistency rule once funded, only 5 profitable days per payout.
