The Funded Room is one of the cheapest ways into a funded account in 2026: a $50K Two-Step costs $299 and the $5K version $39. That price comes with a short, rough record. The firm launched in February 2026 on the reach of Indian trading YouTuber Mayank Raj, runs its own untested web platform, and has collected 3,742 Trustpilot reviews at 2.6 stars, 65% of them one-star. Payouts do happen, often within hours, but a third of recent complaints describe accounts failed under rules traders say they could not see coming.
Cheap accounts and real payouts, undercut by disputed breaches and a payout-day pattern we can't ignore
Our verdict
On paper The Funded Room is good value. A $50K Two-Step at $299 with a 10% static drawdown, no time limit and an 80% split undercuts almost every established firm, and traders do get paid, sometimes within an hour of asking. The firm's claim of $4.5 million paid by September 2026 is plausible given its volume of Indian traders.
The problem is what happens between passing and getting paid. The funded stage adds a dense layer of filters: a 2-minute profit exclusion, a sub-1-minute cap, an HFT trigger at four fills, a per-asset daily risk sum, a single-trade cap and, on Instant accounts, a 15% consistency rule checked at payout. Several of these were tightened during 2026 and, by traders' accounts, announced on Telegram before they reached the terms. Half of recent negative reviews describe accounts failed under these rules, a fifth describe denied payouts, and the daily-loss disputes on Forex Peace Army show calculations that don't match the firm's own published method.
Add a proprietary platform with frequent lag and spread complaints, support that rarely engages with evidence, and reports of new accounts offered for removing negative reviews, and the low price stops looking like a bargain. If you use it, keep accounts small, avoid trades under two minutes, stay well inside the 3% per-asset limit and withdraw at the first chance.
Best for
Price-sensitive traders who hold trades for more than a few minutes, keep risk well under 3% per asset per day, and treat each account as a small, disposable bet.
Avoid if
You scalp, trade news, rely on MT4/MT5 or EAs, need dependable support, or plan to build a large balance before withdrawing.
Pros
- Very low prices: $39 for a $5K Two-Step, $299 for $50K and $569 for $100K.
- Static max loss on every program (10% on Two-Step) and no time limit to pass.
- Payouts can arrive fast: many traders report approval in minutes and funds within two hours via Rise or USDT.
- Two-Step targets of 8% and 5% are standard, with up to 1:100 FX leverage.
- Weekend and overnight holding allowed on all programs.
- Rules page includes worked examples for daily loss, consistency, HFT and sub-1-minute trades.
Cons
- 2.6 Trustpilot score with 65% one-star reviews eight months after launch.
- 20% of recent negative reviews report denied payouts, often right at payout time.
- Funded-stage profit filters: trades under 2 minutes excluded, sub-1-minute share capped at 10%, news profits removed.
- 3% per-trade risk is summed per asset per day on funded One-Step and Two-Step accounts.
- Proprietary web platform only, 14 instruments, frequent lag and spread complaints.
- Fees never refundable and the terms give the firm wide discretion to close accounts.
- Support is slow and templated in 40% of recent negative reviews.

The Funded Room pass rate
How hard is it to pass?
Challenge pass rate
8%
~8% (our estimate)
Bar = this firm · line = average of the 34 firms we grade (14%)
The Funded Room publishes no pass rate and we found no third-party figure with a stated method. The Two-Step (8%/5% targets, 10% static max loss) resembles FTMO-style programs where firms have disclosed roughly 10% pass rates; the One-Step's 10% target against a 6% max loss is harder, and funded-stage rule failures cut the share that reach a payout further, so we estimate about 8%. Instant accounts have no evaluation and are not counted.

Who is The Funded Room for?
Fit by trading style
Beginners
Poor fitCheap entry is tempting, but the layered funded-stage rules and platform glitches punish exactly the mistakes new traders make.
Experienced traders
OK with caveatsA disciplined trader who holds positions for minutes, sizes under 3% per asset per day and withdraws early can use the low prices, with a real risk of disputes.
Swing traders
OK with caveatsUnlimited time and allowed weekend holding help, but gap trading is banned and the 0.25% day rule and 15% Instant consistency cap slow payouts.
Scalpers
Poor fitFunded profits under 2 minutes don't count, sub-1-minute trades are capped at 10%, and 4 same-direction fills in 3 minutes count as HFT.
EA & algo traders
Poor fitOnly trade-management EAs are allowed on a proprietary web platform with no MT4/MT5 or API access.
News traders
Poor fitFunded profits from trades within 3 minutes of red-folder news are removed unless opened 5 hours earlier.
About The Funded Room
Founded 2026 · New York, United States
The Funded Room (TFR) is run by Xybit Inc., a Delaware company that gives a 48 Wall Street, New York address on its website and a Dover, Delaware registered-agent address on its Google Play listing. Its public face is Mayank Raj, an Indian trading YouTuber behind The Trade Room channel, while the Google Play listing and the site's admin settings point to Harshal Madnani of Xybit Funds as a company contact. The firm does not name a CEO. It claimed its Trustpilot profile in January 2026 and opened to traders in February 2026, with Raj citing more than 20,000 sign-ups on day one.
Unlike most CFD prop firms, TFR does not use MetaTrader, cTrader or a white-label broker. Traders use an in-house web terminal and mobile app (50,000+ Android downloads) on simulated accounts, priced from Pyth and Polygon data feeds, with 8 FX pairs, gold, silver and four cryptocurrencies. Payouts and KYC are outsourced to Rise and Sumsub. US residents are blocked at checkout, and almost all of its customers are in India, which is why the payout window is set in India Standard Time.
Growth has been fast and noisy. The firm reported $4.5 million in payouts by September 2026 and runs monthly 'Battle Clash' payout competitions, frequent short discount codes and live X Spaces. It has also drawn a steady stream of complaints about disputed breaches, payout denials and support, a 2.6 Trustpilot score, a 1/5 rating on Forex Peace Army and an unlisted status at Prop Firm Match.
Trader tip
Hold every trade for at least two minutes and keep the summed risk on any one asset per day well under 3%, since funded profits from faster trades are removed and the per-pair rule is applied to the day total. Screenshot your dashboard before each Monday payout request: daily-loss and consistency disputes are the most common fight here, and support rarely reopens a failed account without your own evidence.

The Funded Room FAQ
Questions traders ask
Is The Funded Room legit?
It is a registered Delaware company (Xybit Inc.) that sells real accounts and pays some traders, so it is not a fake site. But it only launched in February 2026, holds a 2.6 Trustpilot score with 65% one-star reviews, and faces many credible reports of disputed breaches and denied payouts. Treat it as high risk.
Does The Funded Room actually pay out?
Yes, the firm claims $4.5 million paid by September 2026 and many traders report payouts within hours via Rise or USDT. At the same time, 20% of recent negative Trustpilot reviews say a payout was denied or profits were cancelled, often for toxic trading, HFT or a daily-loss breach found at payout time.
How long do The Funded Room payouts take?
Requests are accepted only in a weekly Monday window (India time), and the firm says most are processed in under 2 hours, up to 24 hours with checks. Some traders confirm that speed; others report approved payouts still unpaid after days or weeks while trading on the account stays paused.
What is The Funded Room pass rate?
The firm does not publish one. We estimate about 8% of evaluation buyers reach a funded account, based on its Two-Step resembling FTMO-style programs with roughly 10% pass rates and its harder One-Step ratio of a 10% target to a 6% max loss.
What are The Funded Room's hidden rules?
The ones that catch traders are funded-stage filters: profits from trades under 2 minutes are excluded, more than 10% of trades or profit under 1 minute blocks payouts, 4 same-direction fills in 3 minutes is HFT, and risk on one asset per day is summed against a 3% cap. A trading day also only counts if your balance moves 0.25%.
Can you trade news with The Funded Room?
Yes in evaluation. On funded accounts, profits from trades opened or closed within 3 minutes of a red-folder ForexFactory event don't count unless the trade was opened at least 5 hours before the release.
Are EAs allowed at The Funded Room?
Only for trade and risk management. Third-party EAs built to pass evaluations and copy-trading services are banned, and since the firm uses its own web platform rather than MT4 or MT5, running a full trading algorithm is not practical.
Does The Funded Room accept US traders?
No. Checkout is blocked for US visitors even though the firm lists a New York address, and residents of sanctioned countries are excluded under its terms.
Is there a The Funded Room discount code?
The firm runs short codes through its X and Telegram channels, usually 10% off for a few days, and none was live on its site when we checked. There is no standing code, so check its official channels before buying.
Who owns The Funded Room?
It is operated by Xybit Inc., registered in Delaware. Indian YouTuber Mayank Raj is widely reported as the founder and is the firm's public face, and its app listing uses a Xybit Funds contact address; the firm does not publish a CEO or ownership breakdown.
What happens if I breach a The Funded Room account?
The account is failed and the fee is not refunded under any circumstances. You can buy a new challenge; the firm sometimes reissues accounts at its discretion, but traders report that disputes over breaches are rarely reversed.
The Funded Room 1-step vs 2-step: which is easier?
The Two-Step is easier to pass: 8% and 5% targets against a 10% static max loss and 5% daily loss, with up to 1:100 leverage. The One-Step needs 10% against only 6% max loss and 3% daily loss at 1:30, and costs more ($359 vs $299 for $50K).
What platform does The Funded Room use?
Its own browser-based terminal and a mobile app, not MetaTrader or cTrader. It offers 8 FX pairs, gold, silver, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and Dogecoin, and reviewers frequently complain about chart lag, wide spreads and orders that fail to execute.
