Goat Funded Trader review
Hong Kong-registered prop firm selling instant, 1-step and 2-step accounts since 2023
Our grade
Poor
3.8 / 10 · ranked #10 of 10
Goat Funded Trader sells some of the cheapest prop accounts on the market and promises payouts within two business days or a $1,000 bonus, but its record since August 2026 tells a different story. Of the 200 newest Trustpilot reviews, 189 give one or two stars, most from traders whose payout request ended in a breach notice for coordinated trading, VPS use or IP findings, and Trustpilot has withdrawn the firm's rating for a guidelines breach. The rulebook is long and changes almost monthly, with floating-loss closures, a 2% Goat Guard trigger, an 80% margin ceiling, a 1% news-profit cap and a 3% payout fee. Until the denial wave ends, treat any GFT account as a high-risk purchase.
Cheap accounts, a thick rulebook and a payout denial wave: avoid until GFT fixes its payout reviews
Our verdict
On paper Goat Funded Trader is a bargain. A $100K 2 Step GOAT lists at $478 and sells for about $263 with the standing 45% code, its 8% and 6% targets sit on a 10% static drawdown, and the platform list is longer than most rivals'. The help center is detailed, and the two-business-day payout promise carries a $1,000 penalty.
The problem is what happens when you ask for money. Since August 2026 the firm has been breaching funded accounts at the payout request for coordinated trading, VPS use or IP findings, its Trustpilot feed has turned into a stream of one-star reviews, and Trustpilot has withdrawn the rating. The rules give the risk team wide room: matching or hedged positions are banned even across strangers' accounts, a shared payout address is an automatic breach, and the terms allow termination at GFT's discretion or over negative posts. Add a rulebook that changed nearly every month in mid-2026, floating-loss closures on instant accounts and payout haircuts on funded ones, and the low price buys a lot of risk.
GFT still pays many traders, and third-party trackers count $12.7M to $18M in settled payouts. But until the denial wave subsides and the risk team shares its evidence with the traders it breaches, we would not put money into a GFT account that we could not afford to lose. If you already hold one, trade alone from one device and one location, avoid VPS and copy tools, keep margin use and open losses small, and use a payout address nobody else has touched.
Best for
Disciplined manual traders who want a cheap, low-stakes evaluation, trade from one home connection and accept a real risk of payout disputes.
Avoid if
You need dependable payouts, run EAs on a VPS, trade news or scalp, take popular setups that many others also trade, or cannot afford to lose the fee.
Pros
- Low entry prices: a $100K 2 Step GOAT lists at $478 and the site's standing 45% code (GFT45) takes it to about $263.
- The 2 Step GOAT pairs 8% and 6% targets with a 10% static maximum loss and no time limit.
- Wide platform choice: MT5 on GFT's own server, cTrader, TradeLocker, Match-Trader and Volumetrica, with US traders accepted on the non-MT5 platforms.
- Instant accounts up to $400K, and Instant Premium has no consistency rule.
- On paper, payouts within 2 business days or a $1,000 bonus, with a $100 minimum on CFD accounts.
- Detailed help center that dates each rule change by purchase date.
- Futures brand with six plans from $138 list, no activation fees and a daily-payout option.
Cons
- Payout denial wave since Aug 2026: 94.5% of the 200 newest Trustpilot reviews are negative, most about rejected payouts.
- Trustpilot has withdrawn GFT's rating for a guidelines breach.
- Matching or hedged positions are banned even with strangers' accounts, and a shared payout address breaches the account automatically.
- Instant accounts close at a 1-2% floating loss, and funded accounts drop to a 50% split at the first 2% Goat Guard trigger.
- Funded haircuts: $3,000 daily profit cap, first two payouts capped at 6% or $10,000, and a 3% fee on every reward.
- Fee refunded only with the fourth payout, and VPS banned on most accounts bought since Aug 12, 2026.
- Terms allow termination at GFT's discretion and over negative social-media posts.

How we graded it
Weighted score 3.8/10 → grade E
Methodology →- Payouts 25%3.5
Pays at scale (trackers count $12.7M-$18M), but since August 2026 payout requests are routinely met with coordinated-trading or VPS breaches and appeals go unanswered for weeks.
- Rules & transparency 20%3.0
Dozens of documented but easy-to-miss rules (Goat Guard, floating-loss closures, 80% margin cap, news-profit cap, trade-matching bans) plus sole-discretion clauses, changed almost monthly in 2026.
- Reputation 20%2.5
Three years old, Trustpilot rating withdrawn for a guidelines breach, 94.5% of recent reviews negative, a clause that punishes negative posts, and repeated entity and platform moves.
- Trading conditions 15%5.5
Low list prices and a near-permanent 45-50% code, offset by a $3,000 daily profit cap, 6% caps on the first two payouts, a 3% payout fee and a fee refund only at the fourth payout.
- Support 10%3.5
Quick on login and credential problems, but the risk team often goes silent on payout disputes and several traders say questions in Discord got them banned.
- Platforms & execution 10%6.5
Wide choice (MT5 on its own server, cTrader, TradeLocker, Match-Trader, Volumetrica, nine futures front ends), with some complaints about slippage, dashboard lag and checkout errors.
Who is Goat Funded Trader for?
Fit by trading style
Beginners
Poor fitFloating-loss closures, Goat Guard, 0.5% minimum profit days and an 80% margin ceiling punish typical beginner mistakes, and the payout review adds a second test.
Experienced traders
OK with caveatsThe 2 Step GOAT (8% and 6% targets, 10% static loss) suits disciplined traders, but clean accounts are also being denied at payout, so only risk fees you can afford to lose.
Swing traders
OK with caveatsCFD accounts allow overnight and weekend holding with static drawdown on 1- and 2-step models, but swaps apply, weekend-gap profits are removed and futures accounts must be flat each night.
Scalpers
Poor fitProfits from trades under 2 minutes are stripped at payout, and fast entries on popular pairs are the kind most likely to match other clients' trades in a risk review.
EA & algo traders
Poor fitVPS is banned on most accounts bought since Aug 12, 2026, third-party and HFT EAs are prohibited, and GFT can demand your source code.
News traders
Poor fitTrades opened or closed within 5 minutes of red-folder news keep at most 1% of the balance in profit, and futures funded accounts have a 2-minute blackout.

Trustpilot TrustScore
4,345 reviews
Trustpilot hides this firm's TrustScore after a breach of its guidelines. The stars show our average of the visible breakdown (1.2), not an official score.
- · The profile (listed under the name Wishes Tower) shows no TrustScore: Trustpilot says the rating is unavailable due to a breach of its guidelines (4,345 reviews on Oct 1, 2026).
- · Trustpilot also hides the star breakdown, so the distribution and the 1.2 score are our figures for the 200 newest reviews (Aug 21-Sep 30, 2026), not the full 4,345-review profile.
- · Trustpilot's own share card for the profile labels it 'Poor' with two stars, its band for TrustScores around 2.
- · A third-party review published in Dec 2025 and updated in May 2026 recorded 3.4/5 from 3,339 reviews plus a Trustpilot notice that fake reviews had been removed; PropNavi saw the rating withdrawn by Jul 31, 2026.
- · GFT replies to part of the criticism (11 of the 20 newest reviews), usually asking for account details or saying the decision rested on trading data.
- · A newer profile for the sister site goatfunded.com shows 3.4/5 from 181 reviews, and the futures brand's profile also has its rating withdrawn.
- · GFT's homepage advertises '4.8 stars from 5k verified reviews' without naming the platform.

Payout rejected and account closed at the payout request
Nearly half of the negative reviews follow the same sequence: a profitable funded account, a payout request, then a breach notice and a rejected payout within days. Amounts run from under $200 to more than $9,000, and several reviewers had been paid by GFT before.
Most praised · 89% of positive reviews
Quick help with small account problems
Eight of the nine recent five-star reviews thank support for fixing missing credentials, a mistyped email or an inactivity lock quickly. None of them mentions receiving a payout.
Complaint themes · 216 negative reviews
- Payout denied or account closed at payout47%
Breach notices and rejected payouts arriving right after a payout request, often on a first withdrawal and sometimes after earlier payouts from the same account.
- Coordinated, group or copy-trading accusations30%
Traders receive a spreadsheet matching their trades to other accounts, often gold or index entries minutes apart, and most deny any contact with those traders.
- Risk team and support silence26%
Risk-team emails go unanswered for one to three weeks, live chat sends people back to the risk team, and some describe bot-style replies or cancelled interviews.
- VPS, VPN and IP findings23%
Breaches for VPS use or IP mismatches, including accounts bought before the Aug 12, 2026 VPS rule and traders on mobile data or dynamic home connections.
- Unclear or changing rules22%
Rules reviewers say they met only at a breach or denial: the 80% margin limit, 1% floating-loss closures, the 1% news-profit cap, first-payout caps cut from 6% to 4%, and the 2-minute rule.
- Payouts stuck past two business days19%
Requests sitting one to four weeks or longer under review, with the $1,000 late bonus refused because a review or interview was pending.
- Discord bans and removed posts10%
Traders say questions about group-trading rules or payout status in the Discord led to deleted messages or bans, and a few say earlier reviews disappeared.
- Slippage and execution7%
Stop losses filled well beyond the set level around news, including one NFP example on gold, and spreads described as wider than at other firms.

Red flags in the reviews
- · Trustpilot has withdrawn the rating for a breach of its guidelines; the profile appears under the name Wishes Tower with 4,345 reviews.
- · 94.5% of the 200 newest reviews (Aug 21-Sep 30, 2026) are one or two stars, arriving at roughly 38-40 reviews a week.
- · 121 recent reviews complain about payouts against a single positive payout mention.
- · Only 6% of the recent sample is verified by Trustpilot, and three of the nine five-star reviews are under 80 characters.
- · One reviewer says support once offered to reactivate an account in exchange for a positive Trustpilot review; GFT also awards loyalty points for app-store ratings.
- · Several reviewers say earlier reviews or Discord messages were removed after they complained.
Our read of the reviews
Trustpilot's recent feed for Goat Funded Trader reads like a complaint file. Of the 200 newest reviews (Aug 21 to Sep 30, 2026), 184 give one star and only nine give five, and every week in that window ran 92-97% negative, so there is no sign of recovery yet. The profile itself is flagged: Trustpilot has withdrawn the rating for a guidelines breach, and its share card now labels the firm Poor, down from the 3.4 a third-party review recorded on the same profile earlier.
The complaints are specific and repetitive. About 47% of the 216 negative reviews describe a payout request that ended in a breach and a rejected payout, most often for coordinated or group trading (30%), backed by a spreadsheet of trades that matched other clients within minutes, or for VPS, VPN and IP findings (23%). Many add that the risk team went silent for weeks, that a scheduled interview was cancelled, or that asking about it in Discord led to a ban. Some denials will involve genuine copy trading, which GFT's rules prohibit, but the reviewers include traders with earlier payouts, mobile-data users and people who say they recorded their interviews.
The few positive reviews are about support solving small problems such as missing credentials, a mistyped email or an inactivity lock, and none of the nine five-star reviews in the window mentions being paid. The 3-star reviews from 2025-26 point to older, milder issues: dashboard lag, slow chat support, slippage and the 2-minute rule being applied to an account bought before the rule existed.

Goat Funded Trader pass rate
How hard is it to pass?
Challenge pass rate
8%
~8% (our estimate)
Bar = this firm · line = average of the 10 firms we grade (10.1%)
GFT publishes no pass rate. Industry data put 5-14% of challenges reaching funding (Track360, 2026, from firm disclosures and account analysis), and FTMO-style 2-step programs land near 10%; GFT's 2 Step GOAT (8% + 6%, 10% static loss) is comparable, but the 1 Step (10% target, 6% loss, 3% daily) is harder, every phase needs three days with 0.5%+ profit, and a post-pass review rejects some passes over VPS or copy-trading findings, so we shade the estimate to about 8%. Instant accounts have no evaluation.
Basis: Our estimate from the challenge rules
Goat Funded Trader hidden rules
The fine print
Hidden Risk score
8.0/10
Very high risk
Average: 6.3
GFT's biggest hidden risk is the payout review itself: since August 2026 traders who reach a payout are often breached for 'coordinated trading' because their entries sat minutes from other clients' trades, or for VPS and IP findings. Around that sit hard floating-loss closures on instant accounts, a 2% Goat Guard trigger on funded accounts, an 80% margin ceiling, a 1% news-profit cap, automatic breaches for shared payout addresses and broad sole-discretion clauses.
- highstrategy
Trade matching with other clients voids payouts
Hedged or 'coordinated' positions are banned even across different traders' accounts, and the risk team compares your entries with other clients'. Since Aug 2026 many payout requests have ended in a breach because trades sat within minutes of other accounts' trades, including from traders who say they trade alone.
Source - highaccount
VPS ban and IP/location checks
VPS use is banned on 1 Step, 2 Step, Instant Premium and Pay Later accounts bought from Aug 12, 2026. Your IP region must stay consistent, travel can require tickets or video proof, and a device seen on another account disqualifies the payout.
Source - highpayout
Shared payout address is an automatic breach
If your wallet or payout account has ever appeared on another GFT account, even a relative's, the payout request breaches the account at submission, with no review and no option to switch address.

Payout mentions in recent reviews
122 of the latest 200 reviews talk about payouts.
7 million across 15,769 payouts (TradingPilot) and about $18 million across 21,008 settlements to Aug 5, 2026 (PropNavi), although the January 2025 move to Hong Kong came with delays the CEO blamed on transfers out of Spain. The picture changed in mid-2026: from August, Trustpilot filled with traders whose payout request was answered with a breach for coordinated or group trading, usually backed by a spreadsheet of trades placed minutes apart from other clients, or for VPS and IP findings.

About Goat Funded Trader
Founded 2023 · Hong Kong, Hong Kong
Goat Funded Trader launched in May 2023 under founder and CEO Edoardo Dalla Torre, first operating through a Spanish company, which explains the Canary Islands arbitration clause still in its terms. It now trades as Wishes Tower International Limited in Hong Kong, while a Saint Lucia company, Goat Funded LTD, provides the simulated trading service and has held the MT5 license behind GFT's own server since April 2025. The move to Hong Kong was 99% complete in January 2025, when the CEO blamed payout delays on transfers out of Spain. A futures brand, Goat Funded Futures (WITI Limited, Hong Kong), followed in late 2024 and hired a COO from FunderPro in March 2026.
GFT grew fast on low prices and constant promotions. It claims more than $30 million in rewards, 250,000 active traders and over a million users, while third-party trackers count about $12.7 million (TradingPilot) to $18 million (PropNavi, to August 2026) in settled payouts. It also licenses its in-house dashboard technology to other prop firms. Its platform history has been eventful: GFT left MetaQuotes' platforms twice in 2024 over licensing, added TradeLocker, Match-Trader and cTrader, then launched its own MT5 broker.
The product line changes constantly. In mid-2026 alone GFT renamed Instant PRO to HERO, retired the 2-Step PRO and 3-Step models, relaunched the 1 Step with a 3% daily limit, banned VPS on most new accounts and closed its Pay Later program. As of October 2026 it sells 1 Step, 2 Step (GOAT and Standard), Goat Blitz, three instant models and a $10 Goat Stride promotion on the CFD side, plus six futures plans.
Trader tip
Before you request a payout, make sure nothing links your account to anyone else: trade from your own device on one home connection, skip VPS and copy tools, and use a payout wallet no other GFT customer has ever used. Keep open losses well under 1-2% and margin use under 80%, and save your trade history and login records in case the risk team opens a review.

Goat Funded Trader FAQ
Questions traders ask
Is Goat Funded Trader legit?
It is a real company (Wishes Tower International Limited, Hong Kong) that has paid out at scale; third-party trackers count $12.7M to $18M in settled payouts. But since August 2026 it has rejected a large number of payouts for coordinated trading and VPS use, and Trustpilot has withdrawn its rating for a guidelines breach. Treat it as legitimate but high-risk.
Does Goat Funded Trader actually pay out?
Yes, many traders are paid, often within the promised two business days. The risk is the review that comes with a payout request: in our sample of 200 recent Trustpilot reviews, 121 complain about payouts and one praises them, mostly after accounts were breached for matching other clients' trades, VPS use or IP findings.
How long do Goat Funded Trader payouts take?
GFT promises two business days after the request, counted from completed KYC on the first one, or it adds $1,000 ($500 on futures). The bonus does not apply while KYC is pending or the team asks for more information, and recent reviewers describe risk reviews and interviews stretching payouts to several weeks.
What is the Goat Funded Trader pass rate?
GFT does not publish one. We estimate about 8% of evaluations reach a funded account, based on industry rates of 5-14% and GFT's mix of a fairly standard 2-step, a harder 1-step, 0.5% minimum profit days and a post-pass review. Instant accounts skip the evaluation.
What are Goat Funded Trader's hidden rules?
The ones that catch traders most are the ban on positions that match or hedge other clients' trades, the VPS ban on most accounts bought since Aug 12, 2026, floating-loss closures on instant accounts, the 2% Goat Guard trigger, the 80% margin ceiling and the 1% news-profit cap. Funded accounts also face a $3,000 daily profit cap, capped first payouts and a 3% payout fee.
Can you trade news with Goat Funded Trader?
Yes, but any trade opened or closed within 5 minutes of a red-folder release keeps at most 1% of the initial balance in profit, in both the evaluation and funded stages. The excess is removed at review rather than breaching the account. Futures funded accounts have a 2-minute blackout around high-impact news.
Are EAs allowed at Goat Funded Trader?
Your own EAs are allowed, but HFT, gold-arbitrage and off-the-shelf or third-party bots are banned, and GFT can ask to see your code. VPS use is banned on 1 Step, 2 Step, Instant Premium and Pay Later accounts bought from Aug 12, 2026, so an EA that needs a VPS only fits Instant GOAT or Instant HERO.
Does Goat Funded Trader accept US traders?
Yes. The US is not on the restricted list, but MT5 and cTrader are unavailable to US residents, so they trade on TradeLocker, Match-Trader or Volumetrica. US traders can also use the futures brand.
Is there a Goat Funded Trader discount code?
Yes. As of Oct 1, 2026 the site advertises FIRSTGFT for 50% off a first account and GFT45 for 45% off, and Goat Funded Futures advertises AUTUMN50 for 50% off. Discounts run almost permanently, so judge the price by the discounted figure.
Who owns Goat Funded Trader?
GFT is a trade name of Wishes Tower International Limited (Hong Kong, no. 76428795), and the simulated trading service is provided by Goat Funded LTD in Saint Lucia. The founder and CEO is Edoardo Dalla Torre; the futures brand is run by WITI Limited, also in Hong Kong.
What happens if I breach a Goat Funded Trader account?
The account closes and any pending profit is lost. Accounts bought from mid-June can buy one reset per phase within 14 days of the breach, restarting the failed phase at prices from 7% below the original fee up to three times it for a funded 2-step account. Inactivity breaches cannot be reinstated.
Goat Funded Trader 1-step vs 2-step: which is easier?
The 2 Step GOAT is easier for most traders: 8% then 6% targets with a 4% daily and 10% static maximum loss, against the 1 Step's single 10% target with a 3% daily and 6% total loss. The 1 Step is faster but leaves little room for a losing streak, and both need three days with 0.5%+ profit per phase.
Is the Goat Funded Trader fee refundable?
Only with your fourth payout from that account, and the policy covers instant accounts too. Otherwise all sales are final, and filing a chargeback gets you banned.
What platforms does Goat Funded Trader offer?
MT5 on GFT's own server, cTrader, TradeLocker, Match-Trader and Volumetrica for CFDs. The futures brand offers NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView via Tradovate, Quantower, ATAS, Volumetrica, DeepCharts, Deepmap and TickBlaze.
