My Funded Futures rules & hidden risks
The fine print that costs traders accounts
Hidden Risk score
1.1/10
Low risk
Average: 4.6
The written plan rules are clear and every plan avoids a hard daily loss limit, so the danger is not in the rule tables. It is in what the risk team can decide after the fact: funded accounts closed for coordinated trading, shared devices or multiple profiles, payouts denied after a video call, Pro accounts judged against an unwritten Consistent Trading Policy, and a live move you cannot refuse that forfeits profit above $10,000 a day on Rapid. About 35% of recent negative Trustpilot reviews describe such a rule dispute.
Hidden rules to know before you buy
- highdiscretion
Coordinated-trading and multiple-profile bans
The terms let MFFU decide on its own what counts as prohibited conduct, including mirrored or coordinated trades and accounts tied to another person or device. Reviewers describe permanent bans and closed funded accounts after a risk review, with no trades or evidence shown.

Pro Consistent Trading Policy
Pro has no written funded consistency rule, but MFFU monitors for maxing contracts on every trade, inconsistent sizing, contract flipping or high-frequency trading and can restrict, penalize or terminate accounts. The terms add that trading much bigger or more often than your own history can breach.

Forced live move and $10,000 daily cap on Rapid
A $10,000 net day on Rapid sim funded triggers an automatic live move, profit above $10,000 that day is forfeited, up to $5,000 is held in a Reserve, and a live account cannot be refused. Live accounts start at a $0 balance with the plan's drawdown, and some traders were dropped from live days later on the partner FCM's policies.

7-day inactivity closes funded accounts
Since 25 August 2026 any evaluation or sim-funded account without a trade for 7 calendar days, weekends included, can be closed and treated as a breach, even with a payout pending. Reviewers say the rule is not shown in the dashboard or payout checklist.

Intraday trailing floor on Rapid funded
Rapid evaluations use an end-of-day drawdown, but the sim-funded account trails unrealized peaks intraday until it locks at start + $100. Several reviewers lost accounts showing a smaller net loss than the stated $2,000 limit.
Source - mediumnews
Tier 1 news blackout on Rapid and Pro funded
No positions or working orders from 2 minutes before to 2 minutes after FOMC, minutes, NFP and CPI (plus EIA and ag reports for those markets) on Rapid and Pro sim-funded accounts; evaluations and Builder are exempt, so the rule bites only after you pass.
Source - mediumpayout
Payout caps and daily profit forfeits
Builder pays at most $1,000-$3,500 per payout and five sim payouts in total; Pro caps sim payouts at $100,000 per user; Studio forfeits any day above $5,000 or $10,000. Profit beyond the caps moves to live only up to $2,000-$10,000.
Source - mediumlot-size
2% price-limit and instrument restrictions
Funded and live accounts may not trade within 2% of a CME price limit, silver, copper, platinum and natural gas are suspended, and combining minis and micros above the cap can breach the account even if the order fills.
Source - mediumkyc
KYC tied to passport country
About 90 countries are restricted and the Sumsub check follows the passport's issuing country, so residents of allowed countries with a restricted passport have been blocked after passing. A second verified profile, even an old one, gets passed accounts cancelled.
Source - lowcosts
Chargebacks freeze every account
Any card dispute freezes all evaluation and funded accounts on the profile and can lead to a permanent ban and forfeited balances; crypto purchases are never refundable.

The rulebook
Drawdown4 rules
- Every evaluation uses an end-of-day trailing max loss: $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 / $4,500 on 25K / 50K / 100K / 150K.
- Rapid sim funded switches to an intraday trailing floor that follows unrealized gains until it locks at starting balance + $100; Builder, Rapid EOD and Pro stay end-of-day.
- Builder has a soft daily loss limit ($600-$2,500) that pauses trading for the session; no other plan has a daily loss limit.
- Studio uses a static $500 or $1,000 max loss that never moves.
Prohibited strategies4 rules
- Hedging of any kind on the same underlying (for example NQ against MNQ) is banned, sim and live.
- High-frequency trading, stacking limit orders at one price, trading isolated fills in gapped or illiquid markets and tight-bracket sim-fill exploitation are banned.
- Copy trading is allowed across your own accounts; copying, coordinating or sharing a device with another trader is banned.
- Combining minis and micros above the contract cap counts as a breach even if the order executes.
News & timing4 rules
- Trading runs from 6:00 pm ET to 4:10 pm ET; open positions are auto-closed at 4:10 pm ET, so nothing is held overnight or over the weekend.
- Rapid and Pro sim-funded accounts must be flat from 2 minutes before to 2 minutes after Tier 1 releases (FOMC, minutes, NFP, CPI; EIA and ag reports for those markets).
- Straddles, strangles and other news-burst strategies are banned on every account.
- No trading within 2% of a CME price limit on funded and live accounts; SI, HG, PL, NG and QG are currently suspended.
Consistency4 rules
- Evaluation consistency: best day under 50% of total profit on Rapid and Pro, under 30% on Rapid EOD, none on Builder, Pro One-Day and Studio.
- Builder sim funded applies a 50% consistency rule to each payout cycle.
- Pro sim-funded accounts fall under a discretionary Consistent Trading Policy covering sizing, maxed contracts and trade frequency.
- The terms treat trading much larger or more often than your own history as a possible breach of market-standard risk management.
Payouts & live transition4 rules
- Payout buffers equal the max loss plus $100 ($2,100 on 50K) before the first request; Pro allows up to 60% inside the buffer.
- Builder moves to live after five sim payouts, Pro is reviewed after three consecutive payouts or $20,000 profit, Rapid moves automatically after a $10,000 day.
- A live move cannot be refused, sim accounts go dormant, and live accounts start at a $0 balance with data and commission costs deducted.
- A breached live account triggers a 21-day cooldown with no sim trading or new purchases.
Account & KYC4 rules
- KYC through Sumsub is required before trading a sim-funded account; one verified profile per person.
- Any account without a trade for 7 calendar days can be closed (accounts bought from 25 August 2026).
- Up to 10 evaluations and 5 sim-funded accounts (3 if any is 100K or 150K); Builder and Studio allow one account each.
- Refunds only within 14 days of purchase if no trade was placed; crypto payments are non-refundable.
