Tradeify rules & hidden risks
The fine print that costs traders accounts
Hidden Risk score
6.0/10
Very high risk
Average: 4.6
Tradeify's trading rules are written down clearly, so few traders lose an account to a number they never saw. The hidden risk is enforcement. KYC, an AI-run Know Your Trader interview and Risk & Compliance reviews can be triggered at any stage, including at a payout request, and the firm may suspend and forfeit payouts while it reviews, decline to say what triggered the review and call the outcome final. In the latest 250 negative Trustpilot reviews 30% describe a rule dispute and 20% a payout denied, most of them tied to the 2026 lockout waves.
Hidden rules to know before you buy
- highkyc
Compliance and KYC reviews at any stage, with final outcomes
Reviews can start at purchase, activation, payout or live transition. Tradeify may restrict payouts, close linked accounts and impose a permanent ban, may refuse to disclose the signals behind the decision, and says final decisions are not reopened by new documents. Many September 2026 reviews describe KYC rejected as final after passing.

Payouts can be suspended and forfeited during a review
Section 4.4 of the agreement lets Tradeify withhold even an approved payout pending an investigation, pause the processing clock, and forfeit the money if it finds a violation. It may also take until the end of the next payout cycle to decide.

Hedging ban reaches accounts at other prop firms
Opposing positions in the same product group are banned within one account, across your Tradeify accounts and against accounts you hold at other prop firms, with no intent required. Tradeify may rely on NinjaTrader trade-monitoring data for outside accounts; a breach forfeits profits on every account involved.
Source - mediumstrategy
10-second rule on funded payouts
To request a payout, more than 50% of your trades and more than 50% of your profit must come from trades held longer than 10 seconds. It does not apply in the evaluation, so scalpers can pass and only then find their profit ineligible.
Source - mediumconsistency
Consistency rules on Growth and Lightning payouts
Growth funded accounts need the best day at or below 35% of profit; Lightning Funded starts at 20% for the first payout, then 25% and 30%. One big day does not fail the account but blocks payouts until smaller days dilute it. Select funded accounts have none.
Source - mediumpayout
Per-payout caps and profit goals
Growth 50K pays at most $1,500 on the first payout, Lightning 50K at most $2,000 per payout, Select Flex 50% of profit capped at $2,500 (cut from $3,000 for accounts bought after September 1, 2026). Profit above the cap stays in the account and remains exposed to the drawdown.
Source - mediumdrawdown
Drawdown enforced intraday on open P&L
The trailing limit only moves at the end of the day, but touching it at any moment on net liquidation value fails the account even if price recovers. On funded accounts the floor locks at the start balance plus $100, or as soon as you request a payout.
Source - mediumdiscretion
Agreement and help center disagree on DCA
The help center says DCA and martingale are allowed if you do not hedge, while section 6.5 of the agreement tells traders to avoid dollar-cost averaging and maximum-size single trades. The agreement controls in a dispute.
Source - mediumaccount
Live move is discretionary and closes your sim accounts
Tradeify alone decides when, or whether, to move a trader to Elite Live. The move is mandatory, closes all sim funded and evaluation accounts, and the live account starts at a $0 balance with an 80/20 split.
Source - lowaccount
Weekly activity, one account per household, no VPN login
Accounts need at least one trade per calendar week or may be closed as inactive, each household may hold only one Tradeify login and five funded accounts in total, and logging in through a VPN is not allowed.
Source - lowcosts
Commissions count against the drawdown
Every round trip costs $5.76 per E-mini or $1.82 per micro, deducted from the balance the drawdown is measured on. Active scalpers on small accounts can lose a meaningful share of a $1,000 drawdown to fees.

The rulebook
Drawdown6 rules
- End-of-day trailing drawdown on every plan: it moves up with the highest closing balance and never down
- The limit is enforced in real time on net liquidation value, so an intraday touch fails the account
- 50K drawdown: $2,000 on Growth, Select and Lightning; 100K: $3,500 Growth, $3,000 Select, $4,000 Lightning
- On funded accounts the floor locks at the starting balance plus $100, or when the first payout is requested
- Growth has a soft daily loss limit ($1,250 on 50K) that pauses trading for the day; Select evaluations have none
- Fees are non-refundable; resets cost $60-$299 depending on plan and size
Prohibited strategies5 rules
- No hedging: opposing positions in the same product group are banned in one account, across accounts and against outside prop accounts
- No team trading, account management by others or copying another person's trades
- Bots only if you own them alone, they are not HFT and you do not run them at other firms

Gambling & risk3 rules
- Contract caps: 1 mini (10 micros) on 25K, 4 on 50K, 8 on 100K, 12 on 150K
- Funded payouts need over 50% of trades and over 50% of profit from trades held longer than 10 seconds
- The agreement asks for consistent size, stops and targets and tells traders to avoid maximum-size single trades and dollar-cost averaging
Consistency4 rules
- Select evaluation: best day at or below 40% of profit (50% with a paid add-on); none once funded
- Growth funded: 35% consistency for payouts; none in the evaluation
- Lightning Funded: 20% for payout 1, 25% for payout 2, 30% from payout 3
- Consistency only gates payouts and passing; breaking it never fails the account
