The Funded Room rules & hidden risks
The fine print that costs traders accounts
Hidden Risk score
5.3/10
High risk
Average: 4.6
Most of The Funded Room's rules are written down, but the risk is in how and when they surface: traders report the 2-minute profit exclusion and per-asset risk rule being enforced at payout after being announced on Telegram, daily-loss breaches calculated against a different balance than the rules describe, and toxic-trading or HFT failures landing right before payout day. In our sample of 250 recent negative reviews, 33% describe rule disputes and 20% denied payouts, and the terms let the firm decide what counts as a forbidden practice.
Hidden rules to know before you buy
- highstrategy
2-minute profit exclusion on funded accounts
Profits from trades closed less than 2 minutes after opening are removed from payout calculations. Several reviewers say this rule was communicated via Telegram and applied to payouts days later; it now sits in the T&C section 13j, separate from the 1-minute rule on the rules page.

Sub-1-minute 'toxic trading' cap
If more than 10% of trades or 10% of profit come from trades closed under one minute, payouts are blocked; a 'continuous pattern' can get the account banned. The ban threshold is not defined.
Source - highlot-size
3% per-trade risk summed per asset per day
On funded One-Step and Two-Step accounts, all trades on the same asset on the same day are added together and may not risk 3% or more of capital. Traders have been failed under this 'per-pair daily risk' rule with realized losses below 3%.

Daily-loss calculation disputes
Instant accounts measure daily loss from the 2 AM UTC start balance including floating P&L. Multiple traders on Forex Peace Army, Trustpilot and a dedicated complaint site document breaches that only add up against the initial balance; in one case the firm called it a display or sync issue but did not restore the account.
Source - highdiscretion
Broad discretion and strategy-switch clause
The firm decides at its own discretion what counts as a forbidden practice, may cut profits or leverage, can block any trader 'for any reason', and bans switching strategy between evaluation and funded accounts 'as determined by' the firm.

HFT tag after 4 same-direction fills in 3 minutes
Four or more filled orders in the same direction on the same asset within 3 minutes count as HFT: first a warning, then a failed account. Reviewers report tags for closing several positions at once and warnings that carried over from evaluation to funded.
Source - mediumconsistency
15% consistency rule checked at payout (Instant)
Your best day or best single trade, whichever is larger, may not exceed 15% of total profit when you request a payout, and reviewers say the consistency figure on the dashboard has moved without new trades.
Source - mediumconsistency
Single trade may not exceed net profit
T&C 13f caps any one trade's profit at the account's overall net P&L, a second consistency-style filter that is not on the rules page.
Source - mediumpayout
Mandatory risk interviews
Traders must join risk-assessment interviews on request; not taking part can mean withheld rewards and termination.
Source - mediumpayout
Trading paused during payout review, accounts reissued after
Requesting a payout freezes trading on the account until review ends, and paid accounts are reissued with a fresh balance; traders report pauses lasting days when payouts stall.
Source - mediumkyc
Third-party KYC can void everything
KYC and payouts run through Rise and Sumsub; if a provider flags you as a PEP, sanctioned or disqualified, all accounts and payouts can be voided without refund. US residents are blocked at checkout.
Source - mediumaccount
Simulated accounts, unproven platform
All accounts are simulated on the firm's own web terminal; chart, spread and execution complaints show up in about a third of recent negative reviews, and the terms exclude any liability for platform outages, data loss or connection failures.
Source - lowother
0.25% qualifying-day threshold
A trading day only counts toward the 7-day payout minimum if the balance moves at least 0.25% from the 2 AM UTC start balance, which some traders only discover when days do not count.
