What traders say about Maven Trading
Trustpilot · 451 reviews analyzed
Trustpilot TrustScore
5,208 reviews
Trustpilot hides this firm's TrustScore, which it does after finding fake reviews or other guideline breaches. Based on our analysis of its visible reviews, the score would be about 4.5.
- · TrustScore hidden by Trustpilot for a breach of its guidelines; Trustpilot states it has removed a number of fake reviews for this company (consumer alert: fabricated reviews).
- · Score shown here is our star-weighted average of the visible distribution, not a Trustpilot-published TrustScore.
- · Maven replies to 61% of negative reviews, in 7.1 days on average; the last 12 months run far more negative (about 59% one-star) than the lifetime distribution.
- · 179 reviews were flagged 200 times in the last 12 months and 113 were taken down; Maven's own site promotes a curated Feefo testimonial carousel rather than linking to Trustpilot.

Most reported issue · 32% of complaints
Slippage, spreads and bad execution
Nearly a third of negative reviews describe orders filling well past the visible price, stop-losses triggering before price reportedly reached them, or spreads that widen sharply around news and gold trading, often turning a controlled-risk trade into an account-breaching loss.
Most praised · 19% of positive reviews
Fast payouts when an account isn't flagged
Reviewers who passed without triggering a risk review describe payouts landing within hours to a couple of days, and several single out responsive, friendly support during that process.
Complaint themes · 251 negative reviews
- Execution quality (slippage, spreads, mis-fills)32%
The most common complaint: orders filling well beyond the quoted price, stop-losses reportedly triggered before price reached them, and spreads that widen sharply on gold and during news, which traders say pushes them into a drawdown breach they didn't cause.
- Accounts breached or terminated on disputed grounds30%
Traders describe funded or evaluation accounts closed over a rule they say they did not break, often discovered only after the fact, with support declining to share the specific trade or evidence behind the decision.
- Undisclosed or inconsistently enforced rules30%
The discretionary 1% risk cap, the "all-in" and "gamifying" rules, and program-specific deadlines like Mini's 24-hour window are frequently cited as rules traders say were not clear before they lost an account.
- Customer support28%
Slow responses, generic or repeated answers, and a lack of engagement on appeals are the main complaints, particularly from traders disputing a breach or a KYC rejection.
- Pricing, fees and refund handling27%
Complaints include an undisclosed add-on fee one trader was asked to pay before receiving login details, confusion over the Buy-Now-Pay-Later structure, and frustration that the challenge fee is refundable only after a third payout.
- Payout denied or profit cancelled after a risk review17%
A recurring pattern: a payout request triggers a mandatory risk interview, after which the account is terminated or the payout reduced, often citing broad language like "gamifying" or suspected third-party assistance rather than a specific numeric breach.
- KYC and identity verification problems14%
Reports of repeated document rejections through Veriff, multi-day delays with no update, and a handful of accounts frozen over a second person briefly appearing in a verification photo or video.

Our read of the reviews
Maven's Trustpilot history splits into two eras. Across its lifetime 5,208 reviews the star distribution is lopsidedly positive (our weighted average works out to 4.50), but Trustpilot has hidden the TrustScore itself for a guideline breach and says it has removed a batch of fake reviews, which makes the lifetime number hard to trust at face value. The last 200 reviews, spanning February through October 2026, tell a very different story: 87.5% negative, only 18 five-star ratings, and a verified share of just 6%. Every month from December 2025 onward has averaged well under 2 stars, with no sign of recovery through September 2026.
The complaint pattern is consistent rather than scattered. Execution quality (slippage, bad fills, widened spreads) is the single largest theme at 31.5% of the negative sample, followed closely by disputed account breaches and undisclosed or inconsistently applied rules, each at 29.5%. A recognizable sequence shows up repeatedly: a trader approaches or requests a payout, is invited to a "risk interview," and the account is then terminated for broadly worded reasons like "gamifying" or suspected automation, without a specific trade or number shown as evidence. Customer support complaints (27.9%) often describe that appeals process specifically, not just response speed.
The positive side is real but thinner: traders who pass without triggering a review describe fast crypto or bank payouts, straightforward rules, and some of the cheapest challenge fees in the industry, and Maven does reply to the majority of negative reviews itself within about a week. But the volume, specificity and consistency of the negative pattern — corroborated independently on Forex Peace Army and PropFirmMatch — means the lifetime star average overstates how Maven is currently performing for traders chasing a payout.
