FunderPro rules & hidden risks
The fine print that costs traders accounts
Hidden Risk score
7.0/10
Very high risk
Average: 4.6
The written challenge rules are clear. What traders do not see coming is the review at payout time: clause 13.4 bans shared devices, VPS and IP addresses, and FunderPro uses it to refuse rewards from traders who say they traded alone on mobile or shared home networks. A 20% margin cap per asset class appears only on funded accounts, lot-size consistency is judged case by case, and the firm keeps the right to decline a funded account after a pass. Rule disputes make up 71.6% of recent negative reviews.
Hidden rules to know before you buy
- highdiscretion
Payouts refused over shared IP or device findings
Clause 13.4 prohibits shared devices, VPS and IP addresses. The firm flags overlapping IP ranges or device IDs at payout review and closes the account; traders on mobile carriers or household connections say they cannot avoid the overlap, and the firm withholds full technical evidence for security reasons.
Source - highlot-size
20% margin cap per asset class switches on only after funding
Challenges have no margin or lot limit, so traders pass with position sizes that break the funded-account rule: no more than 20% of the starting balance as margin per asset class (all FX pairs count together). First breach removes the profit from those trades from the payout; a second closes the account.
Source - highconsistency
Lot-size consistency judged at the firm's discretion
Clause 13.15 lets the risk team treat abrupt changes in lot size (their example: one lot, then ten) as gambling, with no numeric threshold. Reviewers say rewards were removed for lot-size ranges they considered normal.

A pass does not guarantee a funded account
The funded contract is offered at the company's sole discretion after KYC, and clause 11.9 lets it decline for risk, compliance or other business grounds without refunding the challenge fee.

Consistency caps on Pro, One Phase and Instant
The best day may not exceed 45% of profit on Pro and 40% on One Phase during the challenge, measured on equity including open trades; Instant payouts need the best day under 15% of the requested profit, five days with 0.5%+ gains, and the first two payouts are capped at 5% of the balance. Classic has none.

News and weekend limits on funded accounts unless you pay for Swing
News trading is free during challenges, but funded accounts may not open trades within 2 minutes of restricted releases and must be flat by Friday 10pm server time (and 2 hours before any closure longer than 2 hours). The Swing add-on removes both limits but cuts FX leverage to 1:30.
Source - mediumkyc
KYC name or residence mismatches void rewards
Clauses 3.1 and 3.3 let the firm refuse a funded account or cancel a reward if the registered name or country differs from ID documents, or if a VPN hides location. Reviews describe a ban at the second payout and a refused $4,400 payout over residence or document mismatches.
Source - lowaccount
30-day inactivity fails even funded accounts
No closed trade for 30 consecutive days fails any account, challenge or funded, with no refund or renewal.
Source - lowcosts
Pro fees are not refunded and daily rewards pay 60%
Classic and One Phase fees come back with the first reward, Pro fees never do; Pro traders who pick daily rewards keep 60% of profits instead of 90% on the weekly option. Funded accounts also pay $5 to $7 per lot in commission.

Behaviour policy can end appeals
Section 21 treats repeated contact about a resolved case as unreasonable persistence and allows access restrictions or termination without refund; the firm has quoted it to traders appealing denied payouts.

The rulebook
Drawdown4 rules
- Daily loss: 5% on Classic and Pro, 3% on One Phase and Instant, measured from the start-of-day balance at 5pm EST (00:00 server time).
- Max loss: 10% on Classic and Pro, 6% on One Phase, fixed against the starting balance.
- Instant: 6% max loss trails end-of-day equity until it reaches the starting balance, then stays fixed.
- A phase only passes when all positions are closed.
Consistency4 rules
- Pro: no day may exceed 45% of total profit in either phase; One Phase: 40%. Equity-based, so open trades count.
- Classic has no consistency rule; funded accounts on all three challenges have none.
- Instant: best day under 15% of the requested profit, plus five days with at least 0.5% profit before any payout.
- Lot sizes must stay in line with your strategy; abrupt jumps can be treated as gambling.
News & timing4 rules
- News trading and holding allowed in all challenges.
- Funded accounts: no new trades from 2 minutes before to 2 minutes after restricted news unless the Swing add-on is active.
- Positions must be closed by Friday 10pm server time and 2 hours before any market closure longer than 2 hours, unless Swing.
- At least one trade every 30 days or the account fails.
Prohibited strategies4 rules
- Latency, hedge, reverse and rollover arbitrage; HFT or AI tools that exploit execution speed or feed gaps.
- Gap trading around market closures.
- Hedging or copying across accounts of different people; group trading and signal copying.
- Third-party EAs you do not own the source code of; tick-scalping EAs.
Gambling & risk4 rules
- Funded accounts: max 20% of starting balance used as margin per asset class; first breach deducts the profits, second closes the account.
- Instant: max 2% risk per trade idea and 80% total margin use.
- Overleveraging, account rolling and one-sided all-in trades count as gambling.
- The firm can disqualify an evaluation for trading it judges likely to cause large losses.
Account & KYC4 rules
- KYC after passing; name and residence must match ID or the reward can be cancelled.
- No shared devices, VPS or IP addresses with other traders.
- VPNs allowed only if they do not hide your real country.
- Combined funded starting capital capped at $200,000 ($100,000 on Instant).
Payouts3 rules
- Classic, One Phase and Instant: bi-weekly, minimum $100.
- Pro: daily rewards at a 60% split or weekly at 90% once 1% up.
