Funded Futures Family rules & hidden risks
The fine print that costs traders accounts
Hidden Risk score
6.1/10
Very high risk
Average: 4.6
Most FFF rules are published in the help center, but the ones that cost traders money are applied after the fact: device-fingerprint matches surfaced at payout time, KYC rejections that close the whole profile, and a Professional Stage promotion that FFF decides on and that closes every simulated account the trader holds. Funded consistency rules now apply to nearly every plan, and 46% of the 250 recent negative reviews describe a rule dispute.
Hidden rules to know before you buy
- highdiscretion
Promotion to the Professional Stage closes all sim accounts
After 3 payouts or $10,000 paid (or earlier at FFF's discretion), traders move to a Pro account at an 80/20 split; on delivery every simulated funded, evaluation and passed account is closed, and FFF may redirect approved sim payouts toward Pro advancement. Re-entry afterwards is only through the pricier invite-only Prestige evaluation.

Device-fingerprint and account-sharing bans
FFF fingerprints devices and treats any device used by another trader's profile as sharing, even inside one household. Several reviewers say the flag was raised only when they requested a payout and the evidence predated their account.
Source - mediumkyc
KYC rejection can close the whole profile
Payouts need Rise onboarding and KYC; reviewers report name-mismatch rejections with no retry that closed every account. 25% of negative reviews in our sample involve KYC.
Source - mediumconsistency
Funded consistency rules on almost every plan
Prime and Velocity funded accounts carry a 40% rule, S2F 25%, and Premier+ accounts bought from Sept 9, 2026 now carry 40% too. Only the Velocity daily-payout add-on removes it.
Source - mediumstrategy
10-second microscalping rule
More than half of trades and more than half of profit must come from positions held over 10 seconds; violations can mean payout denial and profits rolled back to the day before the first flagged trade.
Source - mediumaccount
One idle week closes the account for good
Each account needs at least one trade of 10+ seconds every Monday-Friday week; an idle week closes it with no restore, which caught at least one trader who bought accounts while travelling.
Source - mediumpayout
Payout caps and buffers limit withdrawals
Premier+ pays at most 50% of profit per request, Velocity caps a 50K at $1,250, and Prime requires the balance to stay above drawdown plus $100. PropFirmMatch also lists a $100,000 lifetime payout cap per user.
Source - mediumdrawdown
Drawdown does not reset after payouts
Withdrawals lower the balance but not the drawdown line, so the cushion shrinks after every payout; intraday plans also trail open profit.
Source - mediumdiscretion
Discretionary prohibited-conduct and chargeback clauses
The Terms let FFF decide what counts as prohibited conduct, flag position sizes that differ from your usual trades, and claw back all past payouts after a disputed chargeback.
Source - lowother
Daily flat rule at 4:45 pm ET
Positions are auto-closed at 4:45 pm ET each day, so swing trades are impossible; the homepage still advertises weekend holding on Velocity.
Source - lowcosts
Monthly subscription keeps billing
Evaluations renew monthly until you pass or cancel in the dashboard; refunds only cover the first account, untraded, within 14 days. Pricing complaints appear in 28% of negative reviews.

- Funded accounts must be activated within 7 days of passing.
- Up to 3 paid resets per funded account; unlimited evaluation resets; no resets on S2F.
Professional & Live stage4 rules

- Promotion closes all simulated accounts; profit split drops to 80/20.
