Hidden Risk score

6.8/10

Hidden risk 6.8 out of 10, Very high

Very high risk

Average: 6.3

Most of the risk sits after you pass. Forex Master accounts carry a 2% floating-loss tripwire that halves the split, several programs add consistency caps and a non-withdrawable buffer, and payouts are capped per cycle. On top of that the T&C call every reward discretionary, allow breaches to be enforced months later and let the firm refuse a passed trader for any or no reason, and traders quote a Master contract that permits termination without cause. Those clauses line up with the most common Trustpilot complaint.

  1. highdrawdown

    2% floating-loss Drawdown Protection

On forex Master accounts (except Instant PRO), an open loss of 2% of the starting balance closes every trade and cuts the profit split to 50% for that account; a second hit closes the account. The advertised 3-4% daily and 5-8% max limits are therefore not your working limits.

    Source
  2. highdiscretion

Rewards are discretionary and termination needs no cause

T&C 17.3-17.4 let the firm approve, adjust, delay or decline any reward and cap rewards at $30,000 per trade idea; clause 13.2 lets it refuse a passed trader for any or no reason; reviewers quote a Master contract clause allowing either party to end the agreement without cause.

    Source
  3. highdiscretion

    Retroactive enforcement

T&C 10.4-10.5 say conduct rules can be reviewed at upgrade or payout time and breaches found weeks or months later can cancel or reduce profits, reset a phase or end all cooperation. Many denials in reviews arrive only after a payout request.

    Source
  4. highconsistency

    Consistency caps that block payouts

Best day must stay under 20% of total profit on Pay After Pass Master accounts, 15% on all Instant accounts, 35% on Crypto Fast PRO and 40% in futures evaluations. One strong day can push the first payout far away.

    Source
  5. mediumdrawdown

Trailing drawdown locks at the starting balance after a payout

On Instant forex, Instant PRO and futures Instant accounts the trailing max loss locks at the starting balance once you withdraw, so a large withdrawal can leave only a few dollars of room; on futures Fast, requesting 100% of gains can trigger a breach.

    Source
  6. mediumpayout

    Payout caps and buffers

Forex rewards are capped at $15,000 per cycle, futures Fast at $800 (25K) to $2,500 (100K), Crypto Fast PRO at $750-$3,000, and Pay After Pass and Instant accounts must keep 3% of the starting balance as a non-withdrawable buffer.

    Source
  7. mediumpayout

Verification calls void the 48-hour guarantee

The risk team can require a recorded video call before an upgrade or payout; it must be booked within 48 hours with one reschedule allowed, missing it cancels the reward, and the 48-hour guarantee no longer applies.

    Source
  8. mediumlot-size

    Single-trade and margin limits

Reaching more than 70% of a profit target with one trade, or several same-direction trades on one symbol, is prohibited, as is trading at full margin; no numeric margin threshold is published for accounts bought after June 8, 2026 (earlier accounts carry a 40% margin cap).

    Source
  9. mediumstrategy

5-second minimum hold and HFT bans

Every trade must stay open at least 5 seconds; tick scalping, HFT, grid trading and arbitrage are banned, and several 2026 payout denials cite sub-5-second trades as high-frequency trading.

    Source
  10. mediumaccount

    Copy, group and shared-IP flags

Inbound copy trading, signal following and coordinated group trading are banned, identical trades across users are flagged, and reviewers report terminations over shared IP addresses or 'reverse hedging group' findings.

    Source
  11. mediumkyc

KYC with two attempts and strict identity matching

KYC runs through Veriff after you pass with two attempts; any mismatch between account holder, user and KYC identity means termination of all accounts and a permanent ban. The UAE, the firm's own headquarters country, and Vietnam are restricted.

    Source
  12. mediumother

Short inactivity windows and intraday-only futures

Instant accounts and futures challenges are terminated after 7 days without a closed trade (14 days on futures Master accounts); futures positions are closed at each session end, despite a help article saying weekend holds are allowed on all accounts.

    Source
  13. mediumcosts

Costs that are easy to miss

Withdrawals cost $25 by crypto or $50 by Rise, crypto trades cost $25 per lot, futures 0.2% per order, and Pay After Pass activation fees of $189-$999 must be paid within 5 days of passing or the account is cancelled.

    Source
  14. lowaccount

    Conduct clause covers public criticism

T&C 12.2 treats false or misleading statements about the firm, threats of negative reviews, sharing support correspondence without permission and chargebacks as grounds for permanent termination.

Grouped from the terms, FAQ and help center

Drawdown

  • Classic: 8% static max loss and 4% daily loss (checkout add-ons offer 10% max / 3% daily); Fast and Pay After Pass: 6% trailing max and 3% daily; Fast Static: 6% static max; Instant: 5% trailing; Instant PRO: 6% trailing with no daily limit.
  • Daily loss is a fixed % of the initial balance subtracted from the higher of balance or equity at 00:00 CE(S)T, so overnight floating profit raises the floor; Fast Static uses balance only.
  • Forex Master accounts (not Instant PRO): a -2% floating loss closes all trades and cuts the split to 50%; a second hit closes the account.
  • Instant accounts: the trailing max loss locks at the starting balance once you request a payout.
  • Futures: end-of-day trailing max loss of $1,000 to $2,500 on Fast (no daily limit), $2,000 plus a $1,000 daily limit on Fast PRO.

Gambling & risk

Payouts

  • Rewards go to a dashboard wallet after a risk review of up to 48 business hours; withdrawals need at least $100 and cost $25 (crypto) or $50 (Rise).

  • Verification video calls are mandatory when requested and recorded; book within 48 hours, one reschedule allowed.
  • One dashboard per person; account holder, account user and KYC identity must match.

For Traders rules FAQ

Questions traders ask

What are For Traders' hidden rules?

The ones that catch most traders are the 2% floating-loss Drawdown Protection on forex Master accounts (first hit halves your split, second closes the account), consistency caps of 15-40% depending on the program, a 3% buffer on Pay After Pass and Instant accounts, the 5-second minimum hold and the ban on making 70% of a target from one trade or one directional bet. The T&C also allow breaches to be enforced retroactively.

Can you trade news with For Traders?

Yes during challenges and on crypto and futures accounts. On forex Master and Instant accounts you cannot open a trade within 5 minutes before or after a high-impact release; profits from such trades are not counted, though positions opened earlier can be held through the event.

Are EAs allowed at For Traders?

Only as decision support. Tools that alert you, size positions or manage partial exits under your control are fine; anything that opens, manages or closes trades on its own is classed as a bot and banned. Accounts bought before June 8, 2026 were sold under rules that listed EAs as forbidden.

Does For Traders accept US traders?

Yes. The US is not on the restricted list and the site shows payout certificates for US traders. Restricted countries include the UAE, Vietnam, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Russia, Belarus, Cuba and several others.

What happens if I breach a For Traders account?

A hard breach of the daily or max loss closes the account, the fee is not refunded and there is no paid reset option. For prohibited practices the firm can cancel profits, refuse the Master upgrade or end every account you hold, and a chargeback brings a permanent ban.

For Traders 1-step vs 2-step: which is easier?

For most traders the Classic 2-step is easier: 8% then 5% targets with a static 8% max loss and a 4% daily limit. The Fast 1-step asks for 9% in one go under a 6% trailing drawdown that follows your highest balance, which punishes giving back open gains. Both lead to the same 80% Master account.

Why is For Traders' Trustpilot rating hidden?

Trustpilot says the rating is unavailable because the company breached its guidelines and that it removed a number of fake reviews. For Traders was one of more than 20 prop firms flagged this way in mid-2026. The profile still shows 1,768 reviews, 72% five-star and 19% one-star.
