Blueberry Funded rules & hidden risks

The fine print that costs traders accounts

Hidden Risk score

6.6/10

Hidden risk 6.6 out of 10, Very high

Very high risk

Average: 5.5

Blueberry Funded's published rules are detailed, but a cluster of discretionary clauses, "toxic trading" and clause 12.2 "bad faith" findings chief among them, let the firm void profits or close an account with little specific evidence, and reviewers report this happening disproportionately right around a payout request.

Hidden rules to know before you buy

  1. highdiscretion

Vague "toxic trading" and "bad faith" findings used to breach profitable accounts

Terms clause 12.2(g)(viii) bans any strategy the company considers, in its own exclusive opinion, not good-faith individual trading. Dozens of 2026 Trustpilot reviewers describe funded accounts closed under this kind of finding right around a payout request, usually with no specific trade or number cited.

  2. highstrategy

1-1.5% max risk per trade idea is a hard breach with no warning

On every current program (1% on Flex, 1.5% elsewhere), combined unrealized loss across a "trade idea", including same-direction re-entries within 10 minutes and pre-defined instrument clusters like FX majors or XAU/XAG, cannot exceed the limit; breaching it closes Instant accounts outright with no prior warning.

  3. highdiscretion

Risk Limiter can cap every account, including future ones, at the Risk Team's discretion

Blueberry's Risk Team can impose a 1% per-trade risk cap on all of a trader's accounts, present and future, "in our sole discretion" if it decides a trader's strategy doesn't fit its risk profiling; the cap isn't platform-enforced, so a trader must self-police it or risk a payout denial or hard breach.

The rulebook

Drawdown & Evaluation4 rules
  • Daily loss resets from the higher of end-of-day equity or balance; on every current program it is a static percentage of the initial balance (Flex's total limit also counts floating, unrealized P&L).
  • Minimum active trading days, a day with at least 0.5% of the initial balance in closed profit, range from 0 on Instant Lite and 1-Step Flex to 5 on Instant Elite.
  • No maximum time limit on any current evaluation or funded account.
  • Instant Lite and Instant Elite use a trailing-lock drawdown instead of a static one, so the floor moves up with gains and then locks.
Prohibited strategies4 rules
  • Banned outright: tick scalping, high-frequency trading, latency arbitrage, third-party account management and data-feed manipulation; martingale and grid trading remain banned on accounts bought before 12 March 2026.
  • EAs may only assist a trader's own decisions (sizing, risk calculators, self-coded logic the trader can prove they wrote); any commercial or signal-generating EA is banned, and all EAs are banned on Synthetic accounts.
  • A minimum 5-minute hold applies to every position on a funded account.
  • Copying a trader's own Blueberry accounts (or via the Prop Firm One tool) is allowed; copying third-party signals or outsourcing account management is not.
News & timing3 rules
  • No opening or closing a position within 2 minutes of a high-impact news release on Instant, 1-Step Classic and Synthetic accounts, extended to 5 minutes on 1-Step Flex; Prime allows exiting an existing position but not opening a new one.
  • On funded accounts, a confirmed news violation voids the associated profit; 3 or more in one payout request void the whole payout and reset the account to its starting balance.
  • Weekend holding is allowed on every current program except 1-Step Flex, which bans it outright; overnight holding is allowed everywhere.
Consistency & payout4 rules
  • Synthetic funded accounts cap any single day at 30% of the profit being withdrawn; Instant Lite caps it at 15%. A breach defers the payout rather than confiscating the profit.
  • First withdrawal is available 14 days after the account is funded; minimum payout is $100 on most programs, 1% of the initial balance on Flex, $200 on Synthetic.
  • Payouts run bi-weekly by default, with weekly or on-demand cycles available as a paid add-on.
  • Risk Limit Adjustment: Blueberry can impose a 1% per-trade risk cap, the 30% consistency rule, and/or extra minimum trading days on any funded trader "in our sole discretion", with email notice beforehand.
Account, KYC & discretion4 rules
  • One account per household IP; using a VPN or IP-masking tool is a hard breach, trading from more than 2 devices is restricted, and travel must be pre-notified with an itinerary.
  • An account that places no trade for 30 days is suspended for inactivity.
  • Blueberry can transition a rewarded account to its own brokerage if the trader's data doesn't meet its internal requirements, and may terminate or suspend an account without notice, forfeiting fees and payments, under clause 12.3 of the Terms.
  • Fees are non-refundable once an assessment starts (clause 8.1), and criminal-history or bankruptcy checks are possible before a payout under clause 11.3.

What Blueberry Funded allows

  • RestrictedEAs / botsRestricted

Only self-coded EAs that execute the trader's own decisions (sizing, risk calculators, disclosed logic the trader can prove they wrote) are allowed; commercial and third-party signal-generating EAs are banned everywhere, and no EAs at all are allowed on Synthetic accounts.

  • RestrictedNews tradingRestricted

No opening or closing a position within 2 minutes of high-impact news on most programs (5 minutes on 1-Step Flex); Prime allows exiting an existing position but not opening a new one.

  • RestrictedWeekend holdingRestricted

Allowed on every current program except 1-Step Flex, which bans weekend holding outright.

  • AllowedOvernight holdingAllowed

Allowed on every current program; only weekend holding carries a program-specific restriction.

  • RestrictedCopy tradingRestricted

Copying between a trader's own Blueberry accounts (including via the third-party Prop Firm One tool) is allowed; copying signals from third-party accounts or outsourcing account management is banned.

  • Not allowedHedgingNot allowed

Hedging is banned within a single account and across a trader's own linked accounts; several Trustpilot complaints describe accounts breached for alleged cross-account hedging the trader disputes.

  • RestrictedScalpingRestricted

Tick scalping and HFT-style scalping are banned, and funded accounts carry a 5-minute minimum hold on every position; ordinary short-term trading on real price movement is not restricted.
