Very high risk
Average: 6.3
Most FundingPips losses we found were not failed challenges but enforcement at the funded stage: device-ID matches, news breaches judged by the firm's own calendar, daily auto-closes on Master accounts without the Swing add-on, and Monthly-cycle conditions the help center still lists after a September 2026 announcement said they were gone. The T&Cs add broad discretion, including mandatory PRIME conversion of profit that cannot be withdrawn.
- highaccount
Device-ID (CID) matching can end funded accounts
Accounts whose device fingerprint matches another registered user are treated as shared or coordinated and terminated; traders report the check often lands at the Master or payout stage, with appeals declared final. Device-ID and copy/reverse-trading terminations were the top theme (about 30%) of the 200 latest one-star Trustpilot reviews.

News windows set by FundingPips' own calendar
Only the dashboard Economic Calendar counts. Master accounts lose profit on trades opened or closed 5 minutes either side of Restricted news (10 minutes for speeches) unless opened 5+ hours earlier, and on Zero any trade in a 10-minute window is a hard breach. Traders report events rated medium elsewhere being restricted and events added during the day.

Master accounts auto-close positions daily without the Swing add-on
On 1 Step Flex and 2-step Master accounts bought since Sept 28, 2026, the system closes every open position at 20:45-21:00 UTC in summer (21:45-22:00 in winter) and before weekends unless the roughly 10% Swing add-on was bought at checkout. Closed days don't count as trading days, and the add-on raises commission to $10 per lot and cuts FX leverage to 1:30.

The 100% Monthly cycle carries consistency and Striking System rules
Monthly 100% payouts need a 35% consistency score and 7 profitable days of 0.5%+, and the help center (updated Sept 29, 2026) still places the account under a 1% per-trade-idea Striking System: the second warning halves the split, the third cuts it to 20%, the fourth closes the account. That conflicts with the Sept 27 blog saying the Striking System was removed.

PRIME conversion can be mandatory and the sizing profit is not withdrawable
The T&Cs say PRIME access granted by FundingPips is deemed accepted and cannot be refused. Profit after the split is multiplied by 12.5 to size the account, that amount cannot be requested back, and all Evaluation and Master accounts close; Finance Magnates reported about 70% of the PRIME pool was moved in without a choice.

Zero's stacked funded-account rules
Zero combines a 5% trailing max loss, a 1% combined floating-loss hard breach, a 2-3% risk-per-trade-idea cap, 7 profitable days of 0.25%+ in every rolling 30 days or closure, a 15% consistency score, a non-withdrawable first 3% of profit, and a rule that the biggest loss may not exceed the biggest win.
Source - highdiscretion
Discretionary risk and 'gambling' clauses
The Responsible Trading Policy says a single losing trade should not exceed 1% of the account and lists denied performance fees as a consequence. The T&Cs also target outsized positions and different risk between evaluation and funded stages, let past accounts change your conditions, and allow rewards to be withheld during reviews and mandatory interviews.
Source - mediumlot-size
Tiered leverage and lot caps on Master accounts
Since March 16, 2026, Master metals, indices and energies use tiered leverage that falls from 1:50 to 1:5 above 0.5 lots, crypto drops to 1:1, and every account has a 20-lot per-click cap (1 lot per click on crypto).

No VPN or VPS, and the IP region must stay consistent
Accessing accounts through a VPN or VPS is banned, and an unrealistic change in IP region can trigger requests for boarding passes, passport stamps or a live video. EA traders who rely on a VPS are directly exposed.
Source - mediumother
Rules change often and documents disagree
We dated at least nine rule changes in 2026, and current documents conflict: the T&Cs still give a 6% Phase 2 target for 2 Step Flex (product page: 8%) and a CEST daily reset (help center: UTC+3), and the 1 Step Flex page FAQ cites an 85% split against 80% elsewhere.

KYC, refunds and chargebacks
Fees are non-refundable, one registration per person is allowed, a KYC decline for a duplicate profile cannot be resubmitted under a new email, and disputing a card payment gets every linked account banned.
Source - lowcosts
Add-on and payout costs
Swing and Swap-Free add-ons each add about 10% to the fee, Rise and bank transfers need a $500 minimum, and Tradin transfers carry a 7-day lock with a 30% credit that converts to cash only through trading volume.

Grouped from the terms, FAQ and help center
Drawdown
- Static max loss from the starting balance: 12% on 1 Step Flex and 2 Step Flex, 10% on 2 Step Standard, 6% on 2 Step Pro.
- Daily loss is measured from the higher of balance or equity at 00:00 platform time (UTC+3): 2% or 3% (1 Step Flex), 3% or 5% (2 Step Standard), 3% (2 Step Pro), 4% (2 Step Flex), 3% (Zero).
- Zero uses a 5% trailing max loss that follows peak equity until +5%, then locks at the starting balance; a 1% combined floating loss is a hard breach.
- A breach counts the moment equity touches a limit, even if the trade recovers; slippage beyond a stop still counts.
Prohibited strategies
- Banned: gap trading, HFT, tick scalping, server spamming, latency, reverse and long-short arbitrage, hedging, opposite-account trading, toxic flow, churning and burning.
- Copy trading only between your own FundingPips accounts or outbound to an external account; inbound signal copying, copying between people and third-party account management are banned.
- Third-party EAs only as trade or risk managers; your own EA may fully automate with proof of ownership such as source code.
- No VPN or VPS; the IP region used to buy, log in and trade must stay consistent.
News & timing
- Evaluations: no news restriction, but deliberately trading a release is still grounds for closure.
- Master: profit from trades opened or closed 5 minutes either side of Restricted news (10 minutes for speeches) on the affected currency is deducted; trades opened 5+ hours earlier are exempt.
- Zero: opening, closing or holding through Restricted news (10-minute window) or over a weekend is a hard breach.
- The dashboard Economic Calendar is the only official source of Restricted events.
- Challenge Master accounts auto-close positions daily (20:45-21:00 UTC summer, 21:45-22:00 UTC winter) and before weekends unless the Swing add-on was bought.
- Any account closes after 30 days without a completed trade.
Gambling & risk
- T&Cs prohibit over-leveraging, staking the full daily or max loss on one bet, splitting one idea into several positions, and materially different risk between evaluation and funded stages.
- The Responsible Trading Policy says the largest losing trade should not exceed 1% of the account; non-compliance can lead to denied performance fees.
- Performance on previous accounts can be used to set different conditions on new ones.
- Master metals, indices and energies use tiered leverage down to 1:5 above 0.5 lots; 20-lot cap per click, 1 lot on crypto.
Consistency
- No consistency rule on weekly or bi-weekly cycles of the challenge models for purchases since Sept 28, 2026.
- Monthly 100%: 35% consistency score, 7 profitable days of 0.5%+, and the 1% Striking System (warning, split halved, split to 20%, breach).
- 2 Step Standard on-demand 90%: 35% consistency score and at least 2% profit.
- 2 Step Flex 95%: 3 profitable days of 0.5%+ per phase and per payout cycle.
- Zero: 15% consistency score, 7 profitable days of 0.25%+ per rolling 30 days, first 3% of profit locked, biggest loss no larger than biggest win.
Account & KYC
- One registration per person; multiple emails banned; device-ID (CID) matches with other users lead to termination.
- KYC needs a government photo ID, proof of address under 3 months old and a selfie; duplicate-KYC declines cannot be resubmitted.
- Master onboarding: KYC, review (up to 2 working days), customer agreement, onboarding (up to 2 working days).
- All active Evaluation and Master accounts share a $400K maximum allocation.
- A card chargeback bans every account involved; owners and employees of other prop firms may not trade.
Payouts & PRIME
- Minimum reward is 1% of account size; $500 minimum via Rise or bank transfer; rewards go only to accounts in your own name.
- Close all trades and wait 15 minutes before requesting; trading is disabled while a reward is processed.
- PRIME is invite-only and the T&Cs make acceptance mandatory; the sizing profit cannot be withdrawn and all Evaluation and Master accounts close.
- PRIME rules: 8% static max loss, 3% soft daily loss, 80% daily rewards, MT5 only (not available in the US).

FundingPips rules FAQ
Questions traders ask
What are FundingPips' hidden rules?
The ones that cost traders most are the device-ID (CID) linking rule, news windows judged by FundingPips' own calendar, daily auto-closing of Master positions unless you bought the Swing add-on, and the conditions on the 100% monthly cycle (35% consistency, 7 profitable days, a 1% Striking System). Zero adds a 5% trailing drawdown and a 1% open-loss limit.
Can you trade news with FundingPips?
In evaluations you can hold and manage trades through news, but deliberately trading the release is still grounds for closure. On Master accounts, profit from trades opened or closed within 5 minutes of Restricted news (10 minutes for speeches) is deducted unless the trade was opened 5+ hours earlier; on Zero, any trade in the 10-minute window ends the account.
Are EAs allowed at FundingPips?
Only partly. Third-party EAs may be used solely as trade or risk managers, while a fully automated EA must be your own, and FundingPips may ask for source code or a live walkthrough as proof. VPN and VPS connections are banned under the help center rules.
Does FundingPips accept US traders?
Yes, but only on Match-Trader: MT5 and cTrader are not available to US residents, and neither is PRIME, which runs on MT5 only. Residents of Iran, Vietnam, the UAE and sanctioned jurisdictions cannot sign up.
What happens if I breach a FundingPips account?
The account locks at once, open trades are closed, and it switches to view-only. A discounted reset is offered for 7 days: 20% off Phase 1 at $50K and below, 15% above that, 12% off Phase 2, 8% off a Master account and 20% off Zero, and challenge resets restart at Phase 1.
FundingPips 1-step vs 2-step: which is easier?
1 Step Flex needs a single 12% gain with a 12% max loss but only a 2% or 3% daily limit, so one bad day can end it. 2 Step Pro has the lowest targets (6% + 6%) but a tight 6% max loss, while 2 Step Flex trades higher targets (10% + 8%) for a 12% buffer and a 4% daily limit, which most traders will find more forgiving.
