Hidden Risk score
5.3/10
High risk
Average: 6.3
The rules are published, but there are many of them and most only bite on the funded account: a 3% open-risk cap with profit deductions, Quick Strike, a 40% news split, gambling reclassification, device-linkage bans and a post-pass compliance interview. The Terms add discretionary reward language, a $25,000 penalty clause and a non-disparagement clause.
- highlot-size
3% open-risk cap, and no stop-loss counts as 100%
On funded and Instant accounts, total risk on open trades tied to one idea may not exceed 3% of the starting balance, measured from stop-loss distance and floating loss. A trade without a stop-loss counts as 100% risk. The first breach deducts all profit from the violating trades; the second permanently cuts that account to 1%.

Passing does not guarantee a funded account
Before funding, a risk team reviews every pass and may require a recorded or live compliance session. An unsatisfactory explanation of your trading, signs of outside help or document mismatches can end the account without a refund; terminations and refusals after passing are the most common complaint in recent one-star reviews.
Source - highaccount
Device sharing and linked accounts
Using a device that any other trader uses, family included, or an IP from a restricted country (VPN included) is a violation, and the Terms let FundedNext act against every account linked to you, including rewards already calculated.
Source - highdiscretion
$25,000 contractual penalty and reward set-off
The CFD Challenge Terms set a USD 25,000 penalty for each prohibited-practice breach, counted per trade, pattern, account or device, and allow it to be offset against rewards and refunds; the list of prohibited conduct is explicitly non-exhaustive.
Source - highdrawdown
Instant drawdown never resets after withdrawals
Stellar Instant's 6% trailing limit follows the highest balance and stays put after a payout, so every withdrawal shrinks the buffer; withdrawing the full share in tier 1 breaches the account.
Source - mediumstrategy
Quick Strike rule for sub-30-second trades
If trades closed within 30 seconds produce 30% or more of a cycle's profit, challenge progression pauses; on funded and Instant accounts that profit is removed and a second breach terminates the account.
Source - mediumnews
News profits counted at 40%
On funded and Instant accounts, any execution within 5 minutes either side of a high-impact release on a correlated symbol, including stop-loss and take-profit fills, counts at 40% of profit but 100% of loss.
Source - mediumdiscretion
Gambling-behavior reclassification
Cumulative margin of 70% or more, all-in trades near the daily limit or one-sided betting can force a choice between on-demand payouts under a 40% consistency rule or a reduced split, or a 1% risk rule; the Disciplined Trader Program adds a 30% margin cap.
Source - mediumpayout
Rewards stay discretionary until paid
The Terms say meeting targets creates no entitlement, a funded account is a revocable benefit, earlier payouts create no right to future ones, and FundedNext may but need not review its own enforcement decisions.
Source - mediumdiscretion
Non-disparagement clause covers review sites
Section 24 of the Terms forbids calling FundedNext a scam or saying it does not pay without verifiable proof, including on review platforms, and allows a contractual penalty, reward withholding and account termination.
Source - mediumstrategy
EA ban on accounts of $50K and above
Since September 2026, accounts of $50K or more must be traded manually, including SL/TP management tools; reviewers say the change also hit accounts bought earlier. The EA add-on fee is never refunded.

Conflicting funded-stage loss limits in the help center
The Stellar 2-Step and Lite help articles updated October 1, 2026 list a 3% daily and 6% maximum loss on the funded account, while the product pages and Challenge Terms state 5%/10% and 4%/8%. Get the applicable limits confirmed in writing.
Source - lowpayout
15% challenge reward is deferred
For accounts bought since January 12, 2026, the advertised 15% of the challenge target is paid only after qualifying for Pro Scale-Up (two months, four payouts, 4% growth per cycle); US traders never receive it.
Source - lowstrategy
Settlement-window profits can be voided
Strategies that earn a large share of their profit between 00:00 and 02:00 server time can have trades voided or the account terminated.
Source - lowcosts
Costs on top of the fee
$5-7 per lot on FX and oil, percentage commissions on metals, crypto and stocks, swaps with triple charges midweek or Friday, a one-time $25 fee for cTrader or Match-Trader, and frequent complaints about wide gold spreads.

Drawdown
- Stellar 2-Step: 5% daily and 10% maximum loss, both static from the initial balance and including floating P&L, swaps and commissions.
- Stellar 1-Step: 3% daily and 6% maximum loss; Stellar Lite: 4% daily and 8% maximum loss.
- Stellar Instant: no daily limit; a 6% maximum loss that trails the highest balance until it reaches the starting balance and never moves down after withdrawals.
- The daily limit resets at 00:00 server time, and breaching either limit closes the account.
- Futures: end-of-day trailing maximum loss of $1,000 to $4,000 depending on plan and size, locking at the starting balance; only Rapid Daily has a daily limit, and it is a soft breach.
Gambling & risk
- Funded and Instant accounts may not have more than 3% of the initial balance at risk at any time, counted from stop-loss distance and floating losses across all entries tied to one idea.
- A trade without a stop-loss counts as 100% risk; the first breach deducts all profit from the violating trades and the second permanently lowers that account's limit to 1%.
- Cumulative margin use of 70% or more, all-in trades near the daily limit and one-sided betting count as gambling behavior and lead to a consistency rule, a reduced split or a 1% risk rule.
- Positions sized far above or below your own past pattern can be flagged for review.
Prohibited strategies
- Banned: HFT, tick scalping, latency and arbitrage trading, grid trading, account rolling, cross-account or external hedging, third-party copy trading and signals, account management services and exploiting demo-server errors.
- Quick Strike: if trades closed within 30 seconds produce 30% or more of a cycle's profit, progression pauses on challenges; on funded accounts that profit is removed and a repeat ends the account.
- Hyperactivity: 200 trades or 2,000 server messages in a day triggers warnings; the third warning breaches the account and 15,000 messages disables it.
- EAs only on MT4/MT5 accounts below $50K with a paid add-on; accounts of $50K and above must be traded manually, and listed pass-the-challenge EAs are banned.
- Profits made mainly in the 00:00-02:00 server-time settlement window can be voided.
News & timing
- News trading is unrestricted during challenge phases.
- On funded and Instant accounts, profit from any execution within 5 minutes before or after a high-impact release on a correlated symbol counts at 40%; losses count in full.
- Overnight and weekend holding is allowed on all CFD accounts; swaps apply, tripled on Wednesday for FX and commodities and on Friday for indices, crypto and stocks.
- Futures news trading is unrestricted, but open positions are closed automatically at 3:10 PM CT every day.
- CFD accounts are deactivated after 60 days without a trade; futures accounts after 30 days.
Consistency
- No consistency rule on standard CFD payouts.
- The on-demand payout option on 2-Step and Lite (90% split) requires at least 2% growth and a best day no larger than 40% of profit; the 3-profitable-day option pays 60%.
- Futures Flex and Legacy challenges: the best day must stay at or below 40% of profit, otherwise the target rises; Rapid Pro applies the 40% cap on the funded account.
- Futures micro-scalping: profit from trades closed within 10 seconds above 40% of cycle profit is forfeited.
Account & KYC
- Trade only from your own devices; sharing a device with anyone, family included, is a violation, and IPs from restricted countries, even through a VPN, trigger action.
- KYC is done once per profile with 3 attempts (5 for Iraq and Nigeria) and must be finished within 30 days of passing; driving licenses are accepted only from the US, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
- Before a funded account is issued, a risk team reviews the trading and may require a recorded or live compliance session.
- Allocation caps: $300K across CFD accounts ($50K for Cambodia, Mongolia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Taiwan, Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Pakistan), $200K for Lite, $20K for Instant, $750K in futures challenges and 5 funded futures accounts at once.
- US traders: Match-Trader only, no EAs and no 15% challenge reward.
- Copy trading only between your own challenge accounts or your own Instant accounts, never involving a funded account.

FundedNext rules FAQ
Questions traders ask
What are FundedNext's hidden rules?
The rules are published, but the ones that catch funded traders are the 3% cap on open risk (no stop-loss counts as 100%), the Quick Strike limit on trades under 30 seconds, the 40% news-profit split, gambling-behavior reviews and the device-sharing ban. There is also a pre-funding compliance review, and the Terms include a $25,000 penalty clause for prohibited practices.
Can you trade news with FundedNext?
Yes. News trading is unrestricted in challenges and on futures accounts. On funded and Instant CFD accounts, only 40% of profit from trades executed within 5 minutes before or after a high-impact release on a correlated symbol counts toward your payout, while losses count in full.
Are EAs allowed at FundedNext?
Only partly. EAs run on MT4 and MT5 accounts under $50K with a paid add-on that is never refunded; accounts of $50K or more must be traded manually, and cTrader and Match-Trader do not allow automation. Futures accounts allow bots through Tradovate connections.
Does FundedNext accept US traders?
Yes. US traders can buy all four Stellar CFD models, but only on Match-Trader, without EAs and without the 15% challenge reward; cTrader accounts stopped being sold to US clients on March 31, 2026. FundedNext Futures has served the US since April 2025.
What happens if I breach a FundedNext account?
The account closes as soon as the daily or maximum loss limit is hit. Challenge and Instant accounts can be reset at 10% off the original price, but once a 1-Step, 2-Step or Lite trader holds a funded account there is no reset option, and fees are not refunded once you have traded. Other rule violations can lead to profit deductions, a lower risk limit or termination.
FundedNext 1-Step vs 2-Step: which is easier?
The 2-Step is easier to pass for most traders: 8% and then 5% against a static 10% loss limit and 5% daily, versus 10% against only 6% maximum and 3% daily on the 1-Step. The 1-Step is faster and pays every 5 business days, but since January 2026 it refunds the fee only at the third payout.
Can you hold trades over the weekend with FundedNext?
Yes, on every CFD account at every stage, with swaps charged and tripled on Wednesday or Friday depending on the asset. Futures accounts cannot hold positions overnight because open trades are closed automatically at 3:10 PM CT.
