Atlas Funded rules & hidden risks
The fine print that costs traders accounts
Hidden Risk score
4.1/10
High risk
Average: 4.6
Most Atlas rules are written down somewhere, but not where traders look first. The sales pages promise no consistency rules, no news windows and 24-hour payouts; the help center, a separate Trading Rules page and the T&C contradict each other and add per-instrument risk caps, gambling reviews and device matching that are judged at payout time. A third of recent complaints are rule disputes and over a quarter are denied payouts.
Hidden rules to know before you buy
- highother
Marketing contradicts the rulebook
Pricing cards and the forex page say there is no consistency rule and no restricted news window on any model, and that the fee comes back with the 1st payout; the help center lists 20% and 40% consistency rules, funded news deductions and a refund only with the 3rd payout.
Source - highlot-size
Per-instrument risk cap enforced at payout
Funded accounts may risk at most 50% of the daily loss limit on one instrument per day, counted on stop placement, open drawdown and realised losses. Breaking it is a hard breach with all profits forfeited; it appears on the Trading Rules page but not in the help center rule list, and reviewers say it was raised only after a payout request.
Source - highdrawdown
Atlas Protector halves the split for good
If open losses on a funded account reach 2% of the starting balance, every position is closed and the profit split drops to 50% for the rest of the account's life, even with the 100% split add-on. A second trigger breaches the account.
Source - highdiscretion
Discretionary gambling and copy-trading reviews
Compliance reviews trades manually before payout for 'all-or-nothing' behaviour, and trade activity that matches another trader can be treated as copy trading; both lead to forfeiture. Denials citing gambling, device or IP matching recur in reviews and on Forex Peace Army.
Source - mediumnews
Funded news, short-trade and margin deductions
On funded accounts, profit on any trade opened or closed within 5 minutes of red-folder news (all instruments), held under 3 minutes, or closed when margin use hits 80% is deducted. One reviewer's $160 payout went to zero after deductions.
Source - mediumpayout
Payout guarantee runs on working hours
The '24 hours or $1,000' promise covers 24 working hours (9-5 BST, weekdays) for a first payout and 48 for later ones, and the $1,000 is split across two payouts; the T&C separately allow 1-5 business days.
Source - mediumcosts
Access funded fee and tighter funded limits
Access costs $5 to start but the full fee (e.g. $492 for $100K) is due within 30 days of passing, the $5 is the only part refunded, and the funded account switches to 6% trailing-equity drawdown, a 3% daily limit and a 40% consistency rule.
Source - mediumaccount
Social-media conduct clause
The Trading Rules page threatens account termination, profit forfeiture and legal action over false, misleading or defamatory public statements about Atlas, with 48 hours to remove content.
Source - lowpayout
Requesting a payout closes your trades
Submitting a payout request closes every open position and pauses the account until the payout is paid or rejected.
Source - lowcosts
Fee refund as balance only
The challenge fee comes back as non-withdrawable Atlas Balance with the 3rd consecutive payout on that account (5th on Instant per the refund policy), not as cash with the first payout.

Drawdown3 rules
- Static drawdown on 1-Step (7%), 1-Step Pro (6%), 2-Step (10%) and 2-Step Pro (8%); end-of-day trailing on Instant (5%) and Instant Zero (4%); trailing on equity on Access (10% evaluation, 6% funded).
- Daily loss limits reset at 00:00 UTC from equity: 5% on 2-Step, 4% on 1-Step, 3% on Instant and funded Access; none on Pro programs or Instant Zero.
- Funded accounts: open losses of 2% of starting balance trigger the Atlas Protector (positions closed, split cut to 50% permanently); a second trigger breaches.
Prohibited strategies3 rules
- HFT, tick scalping, latency arbitrage and order flooding are hard breaches with profits forfeited.
- Hedging or copy trading across different traders, firms or external accounts is banned; within your own Atlas accounts it is allowed.
- Account sharing, passing services and logging in from inconsistent locations without notice are banned; VPN use needs prior notice.
News & timing4 rules
- News trading is free in evaluations; on funded accounts profit within 5 minutes either side of red-folder news is deducted and positions opened in the window are closed.
- Funded profit on trades held under 3 minutes is deducted.
- No new positions on weekends; futures must be flat by 4:45 PM New York time.
- 30 days without a trade breaches the account (not Instant Zero).
Gambling & risk3 rules
- Funded accounts may risk at most 50% of the daily loss limit on a single instrument per day; breaches forfeit all profits.
- All-or-nothing trading (over 80% of balance on one trade, no stop with oversized size, binary-outcome holds) is reviewed manually before payout.
- Funded margin use of 80% or more closes all positions and deducts their profit.
Consistency3 rules
- Instant Funded: best day at most 20% of payout-cycle profit; Access funded: 40%.
- Help center lists no consistency rule on 1-Step, 2-Step, Pro programs or Instant Zero; the Trading Rules page still lists 25% on funded 1-Step.
- Futures: Standard 50% to pass and 40% funded, Direct and Live 20%.
Account & KYC3 rules
- Veriff KYC (ID, selfie, sanctions and PEP screening) is required before the first payout, not to trade.
- One profile per person; profiles sharing identity, card, wallet or phone are treated as one person.
- Chargebacks suspend the account immediately; used accounts are non-refundable.
